No one from GGGs camp talks about Ward. They are asked questions about him.

I wish Froch didn't punk out and retire. Froch getting knocked out would keep Gennady's name out of Ward's mouth just like he can't speak Kovalev. Ward loses to them both by stoppage.

Who can blame GGG for not taking Ward now, he has much better fights available.

GGG haters say he's a bum hype job, but they need the supposed best SMW to fight him to save their favorite fighter from GGG. You can't have it both ways. Hypocrites.

So either there are two official offers or the story is inconsistent.
In March David Itskowitch, Virgil Hunter, and Ward all gave numerous interviews making it clear he was taking a couple of tune-up fights for this year.

In June, Ward fought Smith the same night Lemieux beat N'Dam. K2 made it clear the following week they were negotiating with GB for Golovkin/Lemieux at that time.

In early July, Loeffler & Golovkin said @164 50/50. I'm guessing that's when RN sent this email for @168 50/50. In reality, K2 was laying down the framework for their first ppv with Golovkin/Lemieux and Ward was sending out an offer to Zac Dunne.

Ward vs Kovalev is a 50/50 fight. It's a big fight.

But they keep talking about Ward whilst having no intentions of actually making the fight. Whereas Ward's team took an official step towards getting it done.
I see it as posturing on both sides, but I think Ward knows GGG has his plate full and is taking the opportunity to make himself look like the avoided guy. On a business tip, If I were GGG's team and saw the potential to land either Cotto or Canelo next year, why go up in weight, make less money, and have a much greater chance of losing? I can see if he'd make more fighting Ward than either Cotto or Canelo, but we all know that isn't the case. I think both want to fight one another, but the economics aren't there yet. Ward I think needs to focus on becoming a more active fighter again and not concern himself with GGG until at least next Summer let alone Kovalev is waiting one weight class up and Ward's already cleared 168 (and isn't fighting Badou Jack anytime soon for obvious reasons).

I think the number of hits is because there are multiple fan bases involved. I find it hard to believe Ward has this many fans. It's a combination of Floyd, Cotto, Canelo, Ward, and GGG fans.

Ward doesn't need to clean out 168, he's ALREADY done that....everyone with a ounce of common boxing knowledge knows he's THE MAN at 168....Little g could become the lineal champ at 168 by defeating Ward....by defeating Ward, he would accomplish something that no other fighter has accomplished since Ward was a 12 yr old puppy...Little g could become Big G by beating Ward....Nelo and Cotto will have him starving for a fight....155-156 is the offer he'll get....with Ward he can eat good and possibly get a much bigger scalp....Nelo or my man Cotto don't equal up to a win over Ward....we all know that!!
Ward hasn't made 168lbs since 2013. That's a fact. Ward last weighed in 12lbs heavier than GGG. That's also a fact. Whether or not Ward can make 168 is a matter of opinion.

As for Ward cleaning out 168, you're absolutely correct he did do that years ago. But since then, he's been inactive and young fighters such as DeGale, Jack and Chudinov have arrived in the division. Even if Ward were still to be regarded, as I do, as the man at 168 he should have moved up to 175.

As for GGG, he's the mandatory for the WBC belt, which will belong either to Canelo and Cotto (money fights) or will be vacant. Either way, in two wins time GGG could be WBA, WBC and IBF champ. He has to be allowed to clear out 160, just as Ward did a few years ago before moving up.

Well Ward's side made an official offer. That's not posturing.

Golovkin's team having been posturing about this fight for years when everyone can see they don't really want it.

Its fans period. They want this fight more than they want Kov/Ward at the moment.

I wanna see both but GGG/Ward first. Its the logical fight to make first.
