Expect the usual disappearing act, he's done it for years.

Same. If I was him Id try to break the record of oldest fighter to be active maybe until 65 and move up more divisions. Id try to catch a LHW title late in my career if I was floyd. That would be my advice to him.

But the fact is Boxing didn't prosper back then.

Between 2007-2009 (until Floyd's return in Sep) the only PPV that surpassed 1 Million buys was Pac-Oscar. Whilst Boxng competitor was surpassing 1 million buys often

It wasn't until Floyd returned in 2009 and did 1 Million with Marquez until a boxing card surpassed 1 million.

So to say Boxing prospered when Floyd was gone is just simply not true. It did anything but prosper.

Well it did prosper. Its not like Boxing fell off a cliff once he retired. We still had some huge fights and it was during the peak of Pac's career where he carried the sport while Floyd was gone.

It was a different time for MMA/UFC back then. They had some big stars compared to now. Who do they have now that's doing numbers? A female? That's about it...

Pac was carrying the sport and his numbers weren't great until Floyd returned.

Boxing did not prosper in 2008. It simply didn't.

He wont lose, he never takes risks so cant lose. The guys who are favourite against him, he wont fight. Why should he give his opponents advantages is his stance? Theres hundreds of years of history of boxers who gave advantages away, but Floyd don't think he should, yet still be the best ever? Full of contradictions is Floyd.

He wants to be TBE. So he needs to continue to fight until he is widely accepted as TBE. As of now, he isn't even close. Self pro claimed doesn't count.
