You mean the same way Ward's turned down Kovalev calling him out and Floyd turned down GGG calling him out? Doesn't change the fact that GGG has been avoided by Sturm, Martinez, Cotto, Quillin, Chavez Jr and Froch, among others. Meanwhile Ward is fighting the Smith's of the world at 172 lb CWs while chasing the Zac Dunn's of the world.

GGG is finally fighting a live body, if you wanna call Lemieux that. I will cause its a step in the right direction but its the 1st step.

but you will say its cause no one wants to fight him and boo hoo hoo, he wants to unify first, CW 164, A-side, cause thats what fanboys do.

Yes i know but rematches happen all the time and Abraham holds a belt.

I was just saying its better than most other fights for Ward at the moment.

"We're talking about fights that generate publicity and buzz"
and i agree with this ^^^ and have been trying to explain that to some on this thread
In terms of a resume the Dawson was much bigger until after the fight when Scully & Dawson revealed how the weight affected Chad, and then for Stevenson to out do Andre's win at the full 175 shortly after. Most knowledgable fans don't rate Andre's win over Chad as that meaningful on his resume anymore. It was further disappointing for Andre to turn down the Stevenson offer, as it would've addressed this.

Anyhow, sports are about what have you done lately, and it's been 3 years since Dawson and 4 years since Froch. This guy needs a popular fight baaaaaaad.

Yes i agree Ward does need a big fight but GGG has been fighting "cans" till Lemiuex, which hasnt happened yet, so lets not put him on that pedestal just yet.

And like i said im a GGG fan but not delusional like some

Ward shouldn't have to be fighting guys he already beat years ago, there's nothing for him at 168.

He had his tune up, let him fight a guy like Fonfara at 175 then get the pay day/exposure he wants against Kovalev or Stevenson.

LHW is the right move for Ward now, not staying at SMW fighting Paul Smith's.

If Ward can make 160 for Mayweather, than sure as **** he can make 164 for GGG. And there is a difference:

Biggest fights for GGG are Cotto and Canelo, not Ward. Biggest fight for Ward is only GGG (Well Kovalev too, but i think he wont fight Kovalev)

Fonfara would be a great 2nd fight at LHW for Ward in preparation for Kovalev or Stevenson. Funny how Ward stans are so vehemently against GGG fighting anyone at 168 in preparation for Ward.

I think it's just that GGG makes it look so easy. No one was saying Martinez was fighting cans when he fought Macklin and Murray. GGG is fighting the only MWs willing to fight him. I think Murray vs Lemeux is a 50/50 fight.
