Ward is a bit rusty, so I don't blame him as long as he stays active.

Ward showed a picture image of him weighing in at 173.5 near three weeks before the fight, Sergey Kovalev weighed in exactly at 175lbs for the Hopkins fight, before weighing in exactly at the IBF rehydration day-of limit of 185lbs; you can assume that Kovalev didn't add on any weight since then and you'd be a clown.

To act as if everything is somehow of parallel size, when Ward opens things up by giving away 15lbs, at the least.

An unproven hypejob MW gets shat on because he and his camp talked him up as the "second coming" before he ever actually fought anybody and before he and his camp were ready to actually fight anybody. No need to try and protect Golovkin after the fact.

Andre "SOG" Ward is trying to get active again, in an environment where other fighters are openly avoiding him with no embarrassment. Ward is obviously heading back to 168, Zac Dunn has the IBO thing (ranked #11 by the WBC), and Ward picking up another trinket on the Cotto-Alvarez PPV gets him more exposure. Ward performs impressively and a PPV audience that's likely to top 800k homes will have seen him likely, likely to be interested in seeing him fight again.

Ward fights again February/March 2016 and then it's off to the races.
You don't need to guess. Unlike Stevenson's purses, this is published info. Kov was 188 vs Hop. So you were off by 10 or so. I know you're a bad guesser, this is far from your worst.

Youre wrong about everything else, as usual. But this is really basic: why expect far more from unproven hypejob than p4p #2? Ward has also said he's ready for 175ers way back, Floyd at 160, could beat a Klitschko, so it can't be the talk.

BTW back when they were challenging 154-168 and HBO came calling, Ggg said yes, Ward said no. Bad timing for then A side Ward. Too bad it's bad timing for A side Ggg now that he's headlining ppv, selling out Msg and got that superfight mando. It's Ward that needs to make a move, and that Kov fight would do wonders for his career

Would love to know where you pulled 188 from, lol. Beyond that, even if your number is acknowledged, that is still 15 pounds more than what Andre Ward weighed with near three weeks left in camp (with three weeks to go in camp, I'd even figure that the ward number was even before a fighter would generally start their weight cut).

The unproven hypejob gets the raised expectations because his camp and his fans have been trumpeting him as an all-time middleweight before he's ever even done anything; if he's going to be held in the same conversation with Hagler, it's about time that he's actually fought someone.

Andre Ward is just over 6' tall and (from the recent SportsNation interview) walks around in the low 180s; as evidence has already shown, Ward seemingly has no issues with making 168.

hilarious how blatantly you ignore context, lol

The 188lbs is the HBO fight night weight. Kovalev rehydrated to 189lbs vs Pascal after Hopkins, then rehydrated to 183lbs vs Mohammedi. Ward has only ever given one fight night weight and that was 3 years ago vs Dawson at 176lbs.

As far has using Ward's selfie of him weighing 172lbs, that doesn't mean everything. Alot of times these guys give their weights after a hard workout and after they've dropped significant water weight for the day. Comparing that to Kovalev's rehydration weight is two totally different things.

Golovkin's 30 day weigh in vs Rubio he was at 165lbs, then fight night he had his highest ever recorded rehydration weight of 173lbs. In all likelihood, Ward was over 180lbs for the Smith fight.

Cant blame the guy if he has a good deal with Roc , if he gets paid regardless of the fight quality .... he should just fight tier 3 fighters into the sunset providing for his family , but his fans just need to relax with all the GGG hating , its really getting sad. ... if all of Ward last 4 years and the next 1-2 are to wait for a carrer MW then something is messed up with you guys , its clear that Ward is happy with his carrer , he makes no move to change it , just relax already , let the guy get his money from JayZ , and retire healthy and set for life , nothing wrong with it..... but you guys need to stop the hate towards everyone else....
