actually it was opponent issues. do you even read articles or follow boxing? ward tried to fight bum opponents but hbo turned them down so he sat on the shelf. good opponents were offered like bute, stevenson, and froch and he turned them down. ward did this to himself. stop blaming "promoter issues" and bringing up ggg to deflect attention away from the fact that ward doens't want to fight anyone good even in his own division.

I want to see Golovkin vs Ward btw. People are mentioning LHW because he just fought at LHW. I also think Golovkin beats Ward so there is no need for distance. And all the greats have taken losses. If Ward loses to Kovalev it doesn't make him a "hypejob."

Ward has no options at 168, he's never going to become a viable opponent for Golovkin if he keeps fighting unranked SMW's. He needs a big fight, he's not getting Golovkin anytime soon.
