Andrea is a coward bum. This does nothing for him to earn a shot at Gennady. It's getting late for him, he doesn't sell, his ratings are trash, he hasn't fought anybody of significance the past 2 years. He is a nobody. He needs to earn a fight with Golovkin by fighting Kovalev or someone good. Otherwise, Golovkin is now focusing on the big leagues.

Yes i agree Ward does need a big fight but GGG has been fighting "cans" till Lemiuex, which hasnt happened yet, so lets not put him on that pedestal just yet.

i admit ward has the better resume, but the difference between you and I is that i also admit that ward has avoided fighters/is trying to fight bums while ggg is trying to fight good fighters. for some reason you think it's ok that the proven and tested ward fights paul smith, zac dunn, caleb truax, and dmitri sartison.

yo know it is possible for both guys to be proven and tested. not everything is black and white. there is something called nuance. is ward proven and tested more than ggg sure, but that doesn't mean that ggg isn't proven and tested at all.

this is so true. it's so sad really. ward doesn't want to fight anyone good and he keeps defending him and bringing up ggg's name as if ggg not wanting to fight ward somhow excuses ward's pathetic opponent list over the last 4 years. they aren't even in the same division. if ward never fights kovalev that's fine as long as he fights good fighters in his own division yet he's not doing that. ggg is doing that so he doesn't have to fight ward. he's just mad that he endorses a dud. a boring dud of a fighter.

Exactly. Ward/GGG has the potential to be a huge fight down the road if both of them fight top opposition in the meantime. GGG's doing his best. Ward's chasing the Zac Dunn's of the world. Then Ward's fanboys attack GGG for trying to fight Froch at 168, which would've been a perfect precursor to a Ward fight, especially if GGG managed to stop Froch.
