K2 never got a call from RocNation about Ward. And we all know Haymon never made the call for Lara. Haymon is banned from HBO anyway, this is silly.

Haymon? What has he got to do with anything? Ward told HBO he wanted the fight, they told Loeffler, Loeffler and Golovkin didn't even try to make the fight.

Is that supposed to some kind of "gotcha" argument?

You are going to make hypothetical concessions to fight the biggest money making fighter in the history of the sport, who also happened to start his career at 130.

Golovkin doesn't rate the same concessions. At least when it comes to weight.

As far as the topic of the thread, Ward needs to shit or get off the pot.

The Paul Smith tune-up, fine. But as of now, he needs to get in with the best viable opponent at 168-175, get it in, and get it done this year.

Haymon was in reference to Lara. Ward didn't do a thing. GGG told HBO they would fight Ward also.

People need to realize Gennady is not fighting Ward when he has two PPV fights lined up. He would be a moron to do so. If it happens at all it will be after Canelo. That's if Ward doesn't lose to Kovalev first.

I haven't said anything about Lara in this thread.

Loeffler already said Ward requested the fight and they didn't even enter negotiations with Ward. So yes Ward did "do a thing" and no Golovkin didn't tell HBO he wanted the fight.

Ward-Golovkin is a bigger fight than Lemieux and would sell more PPV, Golovkin is guaranteed a shot at the WBC belt, fighting Ward wouldn't change that even if he lost. So those excuses are bull****.

You didn't mention him, I originally responded to another comment.

There is no point in arguing who said what. It's known that GGG told HBO he would fight Ward in 2013.

But this thread is about Ward's next opponent, not GGG. Who do you think he fights?

Why would he fight on an undercard when he's headlining his own ppv in a unification, then lined up the winner of Cotto Canelo headliner?
