Abel forgot that Ward has beat a way better oposition than GGG, Abraham, Froch, Kessler, Green, Bika and Dawson. While GGG is fighting the Rosado, Rubio (fat), Macklin, Monroe jr, Murray and Stevenson. All of them are bums compering to the opposition Ward has faced. This is going to be the 1st PPV for GGG, he is talking about the A-side, but he is not the A-side either when he talks about a fight against Cotto or Canelo. And he also demand a catch weight of 164, WTF this dude is talking about.

The fight should be at 168, where the chavez jr and Froch fights were being planned. The fact he asked for 164 for Ward and not them shows GGG's fans that he doesn't feel confident that he can beat Ward.

you will see the fight (if it happens) will never happen at 168. GGG is a big name now.After ppv he will be even bigger and it doesnt matter how much people dont like him he will be A side.He will be the guy to say at what weight fight will happen.This must be shocking you because you know Ward has much better legacy but the fact remains.

i even get that it makes more sense for ggg to fight lemieux then the winner of cotto canelo first that makes complete sense and let ward get a couple good wins under his belt i get that but after ggg fights the winner of cotto canelo there is absolutely no reason ggg ward should not happen if both have not lost. by then the fight would be gigantic and be the real fight of our era. i mean the fight has to happen then if ward beats ggg he can start his move to 175 to fight kovalev. i dont know i dont get the hold up from fans perspective tho why ggg and ward fans wouldnt want to see this fight makes no sense to me what so ever it would be an epic showdown. the winner most likely would get the number 1 p4p spot i get that ward needs to win couple fights but if and when ggg fights and beats the winner of cotto canelo and they are still not willing to fight ward thats ridiculous.

Please explain to us how a Ward/GGG fight makes more sense than a Ward/Kovalev fight?

If you're a real boxing fan you would prefer Kovalev vs Ward over GGG vs Ward. The latter would be a mismatch. Wanting a fight just to see someone lose is just pure hate. It not only has nothing to do with boxing but shameful.

I would also like to see answers as to which fight is more competitive:

Kovalev vs Ward

or

Golovkin vs Ward

And I don't think you'll see answers to this.

The dip**** talking in the article clearly stated that the 164 catchweight was hypothetically thrown out because there were no negotiations. How did Ward refuse a fight that was never negotiated? Please tell.

yawn its obvious ward would fight ggg if they were serious about doing it anyone who says differently flat out dont want to see the fight. the fight would be dam big anyone who says it wouldnt is also lying to themselves ward ggg would be one hell of a fight and it would do way more buys then people realize. the fight has to happen at some point they are to close in weight and both heading towards being number 1 and 2 p4p. it just looks really bad that sanchez kept saying they would fight anyone at 168 but when it comes to ward all the sudden thats not the case. i dont wanna hear other examples of catch weights either the fact is this fight has to happen and the fact fans of ward and ggg are making excuses why it shouldnt is ridiculous. all i hear is bla bla bla bla from team ggg on why they cant fight ward. i can even understand a catch weight if team ggg think they need that advantage but 166 not 164 lets be honest anyone who doesnt see them saying 164 as a clear indication they are just trying to win public opinion is not being honest about it. it just boggles my mind that ggg fans dont want thr ward fight if he were to beat ward at any weight ggg would be an instant super star and probably number 1 p4p but the reality is ggg fans know ward wil almost for sure win.

GGG already stated that he would move 4lbs north to make the fight. Ward cant make 164 and who knows if he can even make 168 since he's now fighting at 172. If both fighters were able to meet somewhere in the middle without either fighter having to make much of a weight sacrifice, then the fight would have more legitimacy.

They make equal sense, but GGG/ward gives GGG the quality opponent he and his fans complain are never willing to fight GGG. The difference is GGG/Kov fans think Kov can beat Ward where they do not think GGG can, so they argue for ward/kov.

GGG's 164lb offer to Ward further illustrates that he doesn't feel confident that he can beat Ward, else he'd fight at 168 same as he wanted to fight Chavez jr. and Froch.

There is no indication Ward can't make 168. All he did was sign his comeback fight for 172. So you are speculating in a way that conveniently supports your position.

GGG fans appear afraid of a GGG/Ward fight because it would be the 1st time GGG fought an elite fighter, one with great skill, speed, and would come in slightly heavier than GGG on fight night, attributes he hasn't had to deal with as a pro.

I get it would be a tough fight, but wouldn't seeing GGG overcome adversity and dealing with these attributes, win or lose, be better than another easy KO, especially if you are a boxing fan and not a casual fan watching boxing?

he could at least give any respond to this offer, but he didnt.Obviously he didnt like this idea.Thats why i call it "refused"
