Ward doesn't want to fight GGG? Really??? This article clearly states there were no negotiations.. it was hyphotecially speaking.... and Ward is the one that said stop negotiating with the media and call him and his team direct... I think its quite clear who doesn't want the fight and keeps making up excuses. Weight... Money split, A Side/B Side... come on man. stop it.

Diva GGG complaining about fighting the Lineal 168 lbs champion at 168 lbs, but he'll fight Chavez Jr & Froch at 168 for no belt.
Does he want money or legacy?

You might as well pray that he get injured somewhere outside of the ring or something. Man that's evil.
BTW, you still have to answer the question which fight is more competitive.
IMO Ward/kov fight would be more competitive on paper than ward/GGG because of Kov's weight and experience with quality opposition.

Again, in GGG's case its because he has never fought a great opponent and his fans complain all these fighters are ducking him. When a great fighter comes along and wants to fight GGG, now they want him to avoid the challenge and stick to mediocre opponents.
Frankly, if you welcomed a chavez or a froch fight at 168, which you did, there is no reason to use weight as an excuse for not fighting ward.
My guess is it would be in Vegas. It's just sad that GGG could have really tested himself, lived up to his words and gave boxing fans a great fight, win or lose.
As for why he was willing to face Froch or Chavez Jr at 168?...not that I care about a fighter's purses, but they came out and said that both those fights were much more lucrative and worth making the weight sacrifice for. Had Ward been a ppv attraction or lucrative payday, they would have made the sacrifice for him as well despite offering to come up 4lbs to make the fight. Does it mean that they dont see fighting Ward as a good reward vs risk? Sure. They're taking a page from pretty much every top fighters book. Especially Floyd's.
Do I think the fight happens? Yes so long as Ward doesnt make a permanent move to LHW and if he does then great because he'd be on a inevitable collision course with Kovalev. For now there's big fights for GGG at 160 and would make no sense for him to make the jump just yet. Especially with a potential megafight with either Cotto or Canelo dangling in front of him.Last edited by Deevel916; 08-20-2015, 09:47 AM.

As a GGG fan, when do you get tired of him KTFO of 8-1 and worse underdogs? Don't you want to see if he can beat someone when he is the underdog?
