Why does GGG have to move up this early?

Ward is the bigger joke, at the end of the day.

And if you're a real boxing fan you would prefer Kovalev vs Ward, which to me is a 50/50 fight. As opposed to a predictable outcome of a GGG fight where Ward would clinch all day, thus a guaranteed loss for GGG.

And I don't think clinching would work on a bigger guy like Kovalev. Even then Ward's speed will neutralize Kovalev's power.

When? And... he never accepted 2 other fights with guys at 175 either lol. Keep reaching. I can only imagine if Ward said yes to Stevenson and Pascal then when Kov came up he was like no thanks. Oh how the BS would have the haters in full force there especially because Andre is black. He's not getting the white foreign guy, who can't speak English very well with shaddy promoters excuse like GGG gets.

Ward was saying he needed a couple of tune-ups before fighting GGG.

Then suddenly, weeks after Loeffler said he was negotiating with GGG's next opponent, and just 2 days before he announced GGG vs Lemieux, Andre pipes up and says he wants to fight Golovkin next.

Are you naive enough to think those 2 events are not connected?

Andre and his team would have known that GGG/Lemieux was close to being finalised and saw a chance to get some good publicity for Ward with people too ****** to spot the connection. Aka GGG haters, the dumbest and most biased clique in the whole of boxing.

I wondered how long before the race card was played.

          End of discussion.

Regardless of weight GGG has never been the smaller man in a fight.

And all this is moot. You're saying GGG is a small MW and Cotto isn't even a MW. He moved up for respect and legacy, why is that too much to ask for GGG? Especially after he was the one who said 168 better look out... The only thing GGG is small for is his mouth, he can't back it up.
OMFG you can't be serious on the size. Sometimes I wonder why I even bother responding to you. 10 minutes on Box Rec and Google Images shows just how wrong you are.

As far as legacy goes. Who gives a flying **** about SMW historicaly? Middleweight is where you want to cement legacy. He actually has a clear path to try and clean up the division and unify. Why the **** would he move up to a **** division for one fight when he is a middleweight attempting to unify his division? If he was'nt unifying I would agree, but he is.

I'll say this again. Becoming undisputed middleweight champion and possibly making a run at B-Hops title defense record absolutely takes an elephant size **** on a Ward fight, as far as legacy goes.

He really doesn't have to, I don't know why Abel Sanchez and GGG fans decided to start mentioning Andre Ward to begin with.

Now that Ward is back I see fans wanting to turn into Victims and they want Ward to "Move Up" now but when Ward was away with Promotional Issues it was "GGG Would Destroy Ward!" "GGG Would Knock Out Ward In 6 Rounds!". However, not that Ward is back and he is pushing for that fight, people are not as confident or bold as they once was and they want him to move up to 175

I think it would be best of GGG Team would just be honest and say "Let Me Clean Up At 160 First And Once He Is Finish At 160 He Hopes To Fight Ward At 168 In The Near Future!" But I understand people have their PRIDE and they want to maintain this Boogyman IMAGE!

So Ward had to know GGG's plans on top of his plans, all AFTER a fight he already had scheduled? Maybe he needed 2 tune ups with DiBella, maybe he felt ready to go after one tune-up because RocNation is trying to get paid as well... Lots of reasons why.

Right before the Lemieux deal was made something came out saying GGG wasn't fighting Ward because of weight. GGG simply had two negotiations going and he took the fight he is a 14-1 favorite in, instead of one that would have been 50/50 or him an underdog possibly. I don't see what's so humble or rewarding about that.

I'm not black, I just call it like I see it. Not even from Oakland or a Ward fan. GGG is getting passes like promoter issues for not fighting guys... Floyd got BLASTED for not fighting Manny for that reason. Tell me what is the difference?

Oh I don't know. Maybe because Manny and Floyd have been in the same division for how many years?

Wow, beating Andre Ward does nothing?

You have the old view on boxing, that one weightclass is something special to do nowadays. It fits with your view of brushing off a Ward win. Potentially of course. MW is **** do you not realize it? MW was **** when Bhop was there. He didn't become a name either until he was beating up on smaller guys too. GGG wants the same padded record, but at least Bhop moved up.

Beating Ward would have been more money, more prestige, more legacy points and most importantly RESPECT. Respect from fans and fighters like Cotto who say "Who has he fought?" Why, why are GGG fans opposed to this? Oh that's right, he doesn't HAVE to move up because he's small. Well then why can't he move up and back down like Floyd? He doesn't have to weigh 168. Cotto doesn't weight 160... GGG is in his normal weightclass. These other great fighters are moving around in weight to make big fights....

I'm over the excuses. They guy not only accepted 2 fights at 168 with other fighters, he asked for... just look at the sig. I can only imagine if Ward agreed to fight Stevenson and Pascal, the fights didn't get made for whatever reason, Kovalev comes asking for the fight. I can only IMAGINE the **** storm GGG fans would have with that situation and yet... that's not the situation at all.

GGG called out 168 and ran, straight up RAN when Ward came knocking. GGG fans are class acts lol.
