It's HBO and Duva. Notice what HBO has been doing.

To prevent big fights from being on PBC, they sign exclusive deals with one side. WHy else do you think Kov and Wlad got HBO deals-because that keeps Haymon from making all the dough on Wlad/Deontay and Kov/Stevenson, the 2 biggest fights in boxing other than Canelo/Cotto.

Why else do you think HBO is now pushing Ward/Kov-it's a big fight they get all the profit from and it doesn't expose GGG to Ward before he and Canelo/cotto winner can get it on.

Smart moves by Herschman but it hurts the sport the same way Haymon's moves do-by preventing fights we really want.

Heck it seems like Yvon Michel and Haymon are doing Duva's job, while Duva is busy trying to do Ken hershan's job lol

Did you read the article? They aren't refusing to have the fight on HBO. They said they have no problem with the fight on HBO if HBO will pay the most money for the fight. What is wrong with both fighters making good money for this fight?

does anyone honestly believe that haymon and stevenson would agree if, for example, hryunov swooped in and won the right to stage the fight in moscow at 10pm local time? of course they wouldn't. this is all just posturing; neither pbc/gym nor hbo/main events will allow this fight to take place outside of their terms. just forget it. stevenson is soon to become a footnote anyway

That's misleading and you know it. HBO had last rights options and they were in the middle of a multifight extension. To get out of all this he probably needed to take a showcase fight and then damage his relationship with HBO killing that huge multi-fight deal that was just in the crossing the T stages. Even if he did do all that HBO probably would of still fought them on the last fight option. It's semantics saying he didn't resign till after. For all purpose he was a HBO guy and the fight could and can only happen on HBO. Something Stevenson's team knew about.

This dude would rather the fighters get underpaid just because they hate haymon so much

                Smokescreen...HAHAHA!!

Team Kov got their bluff called. Lets see if they are serious or if they should be quiet. Just like you claim Stevenson team knows about HBO, Team Kov knows about Stevenson.

What is so wrong with having hbo putting/matching the highest offer?
