Because though Stevenson just came out and said yes but a bid between networks they wanna blame Haymon. Nothing has come of this but they blaming Haymon. Haymon is their scapegoat for everything in boxing.

HBO wanted this fight but want to pay Stevenson peanuts. Stevenson basically saying to HBO pay more and you got your fight. Otherwise step aside.

Originally we were told he was passing on that fight to make more money to fight Bernard Hopkins. Not only did that fight not happen now it's basically impossible for the Kovalev fight to happen with Haymon involved. HBO has proven they have no problems making a fight with any rival promoters. Meanwhile Haymon has proved to be the stop gap to many fights and has problems with almost every other major promoter. This is more about Haymon then it is about HBO. Look at the long list of promoters and boxing en****** Haymon doesn't work with or has beef with. Now look at the list for HBO it's just one name. Haymon. They work with everybody else
Kov says 50/50 on table...Stevenson accepts offer but lets go to network bid....No issue with it at all.

Reason for 50/50 is for money and why not take the highest bidder.

          Go ahead and spin it

Why do Stevenson/al haymon fans act like if kovalev doesn't have an exclusive contract with hbo,and doesn't fight on other because he simply doesn't feel like it? I guess when it comes to Stevenson money>being the undisputed light heavyweight champion.

Can they just figure something out and fight already? This fight isn't gaining interest with time, it's losing it. Hurry the hell up before one of them loses.

Exclusive contracts do not supersede purse bids. ....

We already know that Haymon provides Stevenson with the best risk:reward ratio, so why even bother discussing Kovalev? Just fight Chilemba/Alvarez/Beterbiev/Pascal/Rodriguez.

He didn't have that contract when he backed out of the purse bid. He resigned afterwards.
