Mayweather is at the end of an almost 2 decade pro career.

Golvokins career has barely started. He's only been known by the general public for about 2 years.

If this his farewell fight he can fight whomever he wants but we all know this isn't his farewell fight. It's just a bs fight to end his show contract. Then he will be a free agent and fight in the network who pays him the most.

I'm probably going to be flipping back and forth between college football and the Mayweather fight (if its on CBS) or maybe even DVR the fight. He already beat Pacquiao so I could care less about his career from this point forward unless he does something that requires my attention.
Wow, either you suck as a fan or you're intentionally downplaying it.

am I the only one who see the nonsense???

If you agree with that statement.....PLEASE explain it to me........how does that make sense?

It's a slap in the face to boxing.......and if you don't see that I don't know what to tell ya.......
its along the same lines of pac man fighting rios and algierie (which got praise and little criticism) so boxing is already ruined if thats the case. but hes about to be 39 and is past it so maybe thats why people say it. i dont want to see that fight but if it happens ill watch it, glad to see such a talent in our time end his career i mean as a boxing fan it gets old complaining about everything boxing related!

I thought you all were ready for this boring guy to retire why do you all care so much about who hes fighting? like u all REALLY care about every move this guy makes but at the same time say you cant stand him or his fighting style yet u give everyone else passes for fighting horrible competition. the bottom line is no matter who he fights you all will complain either about how he fought or who it is, or the weight if its GGG. just let this man fight and leave the sport so we no longer have to read these hundreds of threads a week aimed at him.

Mayweather/Berto is somewhere between GGG/Monroe Jr and Garcia/Salka, and a lot closer to the latter at that, in terms of competitiveness of the match. In GGG's case, he was at least picking a solid contender, even if that contender was expected to lay down. Berto is washed up and wasn't even that great when he was at his best. Comparing Berto to Rios or Algieri is laughable.

pacquiao got pooped on for fighting rios after coming off a one year layoff after getting KO'ed. but all the floyd farts giving their hero a pass for fighting the weakest opposition possible????

                    rios >>>>>>> frickin berto

rios would embarass berto like journeyman soto karass did or guerrero did.

floyd vs berto is a WASTE of everyone's time, money and effort. if you watch this disgrace then you have no self respect.

GGG-versus all the tomato cans he fights

These 2 get hyped more then anyone else on here and can do no wrong yet Floyd gets ****ted on for whoever he fights..if i was him i'd say **** ya'll to hell ya'll will b1tch no matter who he fights and find ways to discredit him,so really who give a damn how ya'll feel?
                      rios >>>>>>> berto

                      algieri >>>>>>> berto

rios was still ranked top ten at 140 i think when he fought pac, he would also beat up berto like soto karass did haahahahahaha. seriously, berto LOST to frickin soto karass and got embarrassed by guerrero. give me a break!!! plus pac fought rios as a tune-up after getting KO'ed by marquez. and rios had only 1 loss at that point.

algieri was undefeated, world champion and ranked in the top 5 at 140 when pac fought him. he also gave khan a very tough fight.

berto is not ranked top ten ANYWHERE and he just isn't good at all. mayweather vs berto is the worst mismatch in the LONGEST TIME.
