But he has, he's earned the right to take our money just so we can see him in the ring one last time, even if it's against a 14 yr old, he's earned it.

If it's free, He should fight Rousey in an exhibition.

It really doesn't matter. Mayweather is incredibly rich and could care less what boxing fans think of his choice of opponents as long as he gets well paid. I don't like him fighting Berto who will probably be a 20 to 1 underdog but there I nothing I can do about it. A win over Berto won't do anything to back up his TBE claim. At least I can watch the fight live for free. There are many other fighters I like much better than Mayweather and I look forward to their future fights. I won't miss Mayweather that much and he is past the age when retirement is a good idea. If he continue to fight he will eventually lose to a guy he would never have lost to in his prime. He is retiring at the right time and picking a very safe fight to retire on.

Who wants to see him with a tougher opponent who would make him run again, hug like a drowning child, potshot, and all that boring crap he does in the ring? I'll LMAO if fellow roider Berto makes him run, clinch, survive... Man, this guy is no longer boxing. He's been ripping off fans for years now. Berto is just right for him.

Why do we still care at this point?

I'm probably going to be flipping back and forth between college football and the Mayweather fight (if its on CBS) or maybe even DVR the fight. He already beat Pacquiao so I could care less about his career from this point forward unless he does something that requires my attention.

Mayweather's fans think that he has earned the right, the general public and large percentage of boxing fans think he hasn't, many think he has cherry picked(and let's be real his matchmaking has never agreed with the fans). Either way he won't change his ways this late into his career, and there is not much you can do about the past, just vote with your money. I won't be buying this, and if you don't think it's worth it ignore the fight as well.

Also I highly doubt it's his last boxing match, Mayweather has too sweet a deal and barely takes damage during his "fights", my gut says he will fight again next year.

Makes me laugh when people say Floyd is a fraud.

He's a 5 weight world champion, and has been on the P4P list since 1998.

                  Pacquiao-Rios,Algeri

GGG-versus all the tomato cans he fights

These 2 get hyped more then anyone else on here and can do no wrong yet Floyd gets ****ted on for whoever he fights..if i was him i'd say **** ya'll to hell ya'll will b1tch no matter who he fights and find ways to discredit him,so really who give a damn how ya'll feel?

I think that what OP is trying to say is that Floyd is too great to have a farewell fight. When I think of all the ATGs in history who did have farewell fights, thats high praise for real.

Other question that I'm not really interested in this fight... but after he just beat Pacquiao and probably proved himself as the greatest of his generation I'm not mad at him because he wants an easier fight as a retiring fight. It would be cool if he wouldn't choose Berto because now I'm not interested but whatever...
All he proved is that he is most boring all time great fighter ever.
