There have been conversations between Roc Nation Sports (who have Ward) and K2 Promotions (who have Golovkin), but those discussions have gone absolutely nowhere because the two sides are unable to get past the issue of weight..........

Get real you two, we all just witnessed Golovkin blatantly ducking Ward.
No amount of spin/bullshht will change that.
"From what boxingscene was told ..."
"The source told boxingscene ..."
No name, no blame when it turns out to be bullshit
The oldest trick in the book.
I don't understand why Loeffler would be arguing with Roc over a CW for GGG/Ward when he was already negotiating with Oscar over Lemieux.
Imo, Ward's team Knew that Lemieux was who Loeffler wanted for GGG next and that he was in with a chance of getting him, and this sudden interest in Andre fighting GGG this fall is nothing more than a pr stunt to get Ward some good publicity.

Why does Ward want GGG to move up?
Something Sanchez said a few years ago?
Ward is such a smug, selfish, arrogant creep.

Ward is so unpopular he was loudly booed by his home-state California fans when Kellerman mentioned his name after GGG's fight!

Edit: Andre Ward hinting at a possible retirement in the near future (October 2nd, 2014)

I know during his "promotional issues" he had going on he mentioned if he never fought again he'd be ok with it.
I just don't see how come you keep saying he retired. Makes absolutely no sense. Inactive would be a better word.

For someone who puts people on ignore and cries to the mods over "hateful personal attacks", you certainly do have some venom in your heart towards Ward.

If GGG intended to challenge for Ward's SMW title, then no, there should not be any catchweight. IF GGG held a title at SMW, then no, there should not be any catchweight. But neither of those is true. Therefore there is nothing at all wrong with a catchweight where a MW and a SMW will meet in the middle at 164 WITH NO TITLE AT STAKE.
Weren't you one of the people who had no problem with Garcia - Peterson fighting at a catchweight above the division where they each held a title and where no title was at stake? If so, then why is this any different? Garcia-Peterson was total BS in my opinion, by the way. It should have been a unification fight.
TWO FIGHTERS, DIFFERENT DIVISIONS, NO TITLE ON THE LINE... Catchweight OK.
ANY OTHER SITUATION... ANY TITLE FIGHT... CATCHWEIGHT NOT OK.
Clear enough?
