You guys BOTH posted over a dozen times in the following thread.....

There have been conversations between Roc Nation Sports (who have Ward) and K2 Promotions (who have Golovkin), but those discussions have gone absolutely nowhere because the two sides are unable to get past the issue of weight..........

Get real you two, we all just witnessed Golovkin blatantly ducking Ward.

No amount of spin/bullshht will change that.

      "The source told boxingscene ..."

No name, no blame when it turns out to be bullshit

The oldest trick in the book.

I don't understand why Loeffler would be arguing with Roc over a CW for GGG/Ward when he was already negotiating with Oscar over Lemieux.

Imo, Ward's team Knew that Lemieux was who Loeffler wanted for GGG next and that he was in with a chance of getting him, and this sudden interest in Andre fighting GGG this fall is nothing more than a pr stunt to get Ward some good publicity.

      • Why does Ward want GGG to move up?

Something Sanchez said a few years ago?

Ward is such a smug, selfish, arrogant creep.

        • Why is Boxingscene posting like 6 articles and 6 different interpretations about the same sports nation show that aired like 2 weeks ago?

Thats clickbait as its finest, and all the posters hare are falling for it.

          • Ward is so unpopular he was loudly booed by his home-state California fans when Kellerman mentioned his name after GGG's fight!

Edit: Andre Ward hinting at a possible retirement in the near future (October 2nd, 2014)

              Ok, so did he retire?

I know during his "promotional issues" he had going on he mentioned if he never fought again he'd be ok with it.

I just don't see how come you keep saying he retired. Makes absolutely no sense. Inactive would be a better word.

what im trying to say is this is a vicious circle, is not ok for ggg to do it to ward , is not ok for cotto or canelo to do that to ggg, and is not ok for floyd or pac to do it to cotto or canelo, it shouldnt be done at all but since fans are ok with it, then i dont want to hear any complains when someone does the same to your fighter...

                  Someone's very upset

For someone who puts people on ignore and cries to the mods over "hateful personal attacks", you certainly do have some venom in your heart towards Ward.

Looks like you are right on the mark, as usual. It would not surprise me either if Loeffler floated that 164 comment to prevent people from discovering how close to fruition the negotiations with Lemieux were getting. Now Ward is once again sitting on the bench picking away at his ass while GGG will be fighting a title unification fight, which is his primary goal. Kovalev will fight on Saturday night and Ward will probably work the fight at the commentary table where he belongs. It would be interesting to see if Ward has anything to say after the fight about his own possible fight with Kovalev but he never seems to talk about his own career with commentating. Guess it is in his contract not to ask him about fights he does not plan on going through with.

Why is it so difficult to understand that a catchweight between two fighters in the same weight division fighting for a title at that weight class is totally different from two fighters from different divisions meeting at a catchweight with NO TITLE on the line?

If GGG intended to challenge for Ward's SMW title, then no, there should not be any catchweight. IF GGG held a title at SMW, then no, there should not be any catchweight. But neither of those is true. Therefore there is nothing at all wrong with a catchweight where a MW and a SMW will meet in the middle at 164 WITH NO TITLE AT STAKE.

Weren't you one of the people who had no problem with Garcia - Peterson fighting at a catchweight above the division where they each held a title and where no title was at stake? If so, then why is this any different? Garcia-Peterson was total BS in my opinion, by the way. It should have been a unification fight.

TWO FIGHTERS, DIFFERENT DIVISIONS, NO TITLE ON THE LINE... Catchweight OK.

ANY OTHER SITUATION... ANY TITLE FIGHT... CATCHWEIGHT NOT OK.

                      Clear enough?
