lol it's a lie though, it's just another marketing tool to sell a fight. The next marketing tool will be breaking Marciano's record. All a bunch of nonsense.

The good thing coming out of it will be that 5-6 belts across two divisions will be freed up so they can become live again, especially 154 where those titles haven't been defended. Then again, Floyd could just as easily decide he wants to hold onto them.

Who cares about Marciano's record? It's a complete media creation. Dudes resume is filled with 40 Salkas and Bertos.

Nah. There were a lot of Floyd fans, including myself, PBP and John, who said we don't care who he fights next. And we were saying this right after the Pacquiao fight.

          Know why?

          We don't.

He's proven his point. It's over. On to the next.

Naive casual boxing fans who buy PPVs.

I can't speak on Marciano's opponents, I don't follow the old guys. I do know that it has been said that it's not the record though, but rather just another record.

Most wins retiring undefeated is the record. Some fighters have done better than 50-0. Chavez went 87-0 before his first draw (loss in actuality). Then you have Ricardo Lopez who retired 51-0-1.

This is my stance. It's nothing to get excited over either way.

"He earned a soft touch doe."

At least Khan lets his ****ing hands go. Berto is a stationary punching bag. He only has a punchers chance, and even saying that is a huuuuuuuuge stretch.

This is an atrocious fight on all levels.

I really don't care he's fighting Berto but on paper, it's terrible fight. Terrible.

Hopefully it provides more action and competitiveness then it does on paper.

Josesito Lopez was embarrassing Berto for crying outkoud. Luckily Berto is strong. He does have that one punch power which is his only chance at this fight he literally would have to stun Floyd with one punch and finish him. It's not intriguing at all. As others have suggested
I understand the position, there are better fights out there but I still stand by my question; does Khan have a better chance?

Khan might throw more but can also be stopped easier then Berto, Berto's there to be hit but he can take more then Khan in my opinion, he would last longer and make it an interesting fight as well so it's even in my book.

                  & as for his mandatory, I don't think Thurman's ready at 147 & I'm not sure who's mandatory at 154.

So "earn your shot" and "WTF did he do to earn his shot" talks were basically a nonsense to avoid opponents, Right?

Yes because all of Floyd's previous fights were his last fight.
