Khan might throw more but can also be stopped easier then Berto, Berto's there to be hit but he can take more then Khan in my opinion, he would last longer and make it an interesting fight as well so it's even in my book.

    & as for his mandatory, I don't think Thurman's ready at 147 & I'm not sure who's mandatory at 154.
To answer your question, yes. I believe Khan is far more acompkished, deserving, and all around better opponent for Floyd. I thought it was the logical choice, an easy fight to make and the most interesting fight for Floyd outside of draining GGG down to 154. Which didn't make that fight intriguing at all

Thurman or Brook would have been my 2nd options.

Berto was never on my personal radar. Nothing said on this website can change that

It is what it is, now we're just left talking about the fight, the only problem is there's not much to say about it except for how it's not a good fight if you go off paper .

Were left hoping Berto can suprise us.

at this point it is pretty damn clear no one at 154 or under is beating floyd so why not just have entertaining fight instead.
Berto DOES NOT have a chance if this fight gets made. Every damn opponent mayweather has faced, it's all the same. ABC fighter has a chance.

Berto sucks. Well at least from the reports it's going to be free so I ain't complaning

      • I could care less about a fight with Berto, but I am interested in the financials. I am guessing they think they can line up sponsors to help pay Floyd's guarantee but how many sponsors will want to be associated with Jr. in today's climate? Maybe there a few as if its on free TV there will a lot of eyes on the fight.

          • Floyd listens to his critics too much. People said the Pacquaio fight was not action packed and was boring. People said they thought they felt ripped off on the price. So Floyd gives them a free fight and now they complain about the opponent. Floyd was going to give you a fight for free if you would have paid for it. Floyd vs Khan would have been on PPV, so would virtually any other opponent for Mayweather. Berto is about the only opponent out there that makes business sense to offer to the public for free.

You're talking to fans here. Fanatics. No one cares about business sense.

That's the one thing we should be allowed to be naive and ignorant about.

I understand it's a thing, but of no concern to a fan.

Understood, from my prospective not very much has changed, I went from hoping Khan could surprise me, to hoping Berto can. Both have strengths and weaknesses, but they're just what's left, cause Mayweather has beaten everyone else of consequence.

To each is own. At least allegedly, he isn't charging for his "last fight." So that's the positive. Free boxing.

                    • Not watching this fight even if they pay me. Forget watching it if it's free.
