What division would Andre Ward have fought in when 168 didn't exist?

Home should count as California ref, not US Ref. Eventually, GGG will go up to 168, he just wants to beat the big names at 160 first to make his own name as big as it can be. Ward can't come down to160. Losing weight is unbelievable ly hard. But gaining weight isn't. I see Ward vs GGG happening at 168 and the kovalev fight at 175. You are very picky when it comes to illegal tactics. Klitschko has used many dirty tactics throughout his career.
USA is a country, California isn't a country.

Ward had ALL his super six fights in his home country, and all but one in California.

Everybody else had to fight in their opponents' countries.

It's important because Jack Reiss permitted Ward to deliberately head butt in the fight with Kessler. Ward also used dirty tactics against Allan Green (I've never seen so much clamping of an opponent's arm in any other fight), Sakio Bika (the crooked ref called Bika's fouls but not Ward's) and Arthur Abraham (head butts).

Actually, the majority of the people here agree that kovalev is the top dog in the division, and Stevenson is only keeping the wbc belt warm, fighting against the sakio bikas of the world. Only in your deluded mind do you think that the belt defines the fighter, and not the other way around. Next are you going to tell us that cotto is more of a champ than ggg, just because he holds the wbc belt? Or is wilder more of a champ than wlad?

They did this to maximize revenue. You know this, but are pretending otherwise. The point of the Super Six was to help establish a legit 168lb champion and increase the visibility of the division in the US-where the money is.

Might as well strike Joe C's 44 fights at '68 from the history books.

Because it's the norm to come in more than 10 lbs over your divisional limit. Like I pointed out Canelo is bigger than Golovkin, comes in heavier. Canelo vs Ward seems like a fairly silly fight right? Yet they're closer in size.

I think you're all just wasting your energy.

Ward should make a permanent move to 175. Fighting at a 172 catchweight while calling out 154/160 tweeners is just cheesy.

                    It's not the same.

Heavyweights have become bigger (Lewis, Klitschkos, Joshua, Wilder, Fury).

While light heavyweight are exactly the same size as they always were.

However, there are other divisions that shouldn't exist, like super featherweight.
