I've always thought Kovalev gives Ward a more competitive fight than GGG, though I still think Ward would navigate/adjust his way to a win.

GGG beat Kovalev 4 times years ago.
Kovie will never fight GGG. Ward beats the robotic Kovalev and makes the Russian look clumsy. Ward beats GGG also.Comment

you want Ward to have his first 175 fight against real LHW before Kovalev but when it comes to GGG you want GGG to have his first 168 fight against Ward(and not against Froch) ...double standarts here lolIt's funny how most on here who cheer for GGG and Kov used to hope for GGG to face Ward at 168 and wipe him out . Now they see GGG really wants no part of Ward (unless weight drained at 164) , so they have now elected to feed Ward straight to Kov and want it to happen like yesterday. Can the guy at least get 1 fight at 175 first ? Ward has never suggested Kov come down at a catch weight but rational fans like myself do ask that he's given reasonable time to get to 175 and then acclimate to it . GGG pulled his own skirt up when he announced he'd face Froch at 168 but NOT Ward , what cowardice !!!Comment

lol nice tryI like Sergey , I really do . I find him to be very entertaining and fun to watch as well as formidable in the ring . That aside he's not invincible as evidenced by him getting hurt by Pascal at times in that fight , not to mention he's previously been KOd with head gear on . Will Ward beat him = not sure . But it will be a great fight !Comment

so Ward fought at 172 against SMW fighter to gauge his body BECAUSE he has his sights on Kov?Do u look as dumb as u sound ? Ward moved up to 172 as a preliminary test to gauge his body BECAUSE he has his sights on Kov . Now your on here talking reckless as if Ward is at 172 to hide from Kov ????? Is there any bottom to your ******ity ? If your looking for a coward that desperately , GGG is standing there right before your eyes !Comment

Your putting words in my mouth . I commended GGG for being willing to fight Froch as his first 168 fight , as I don't see Froch as a cake walk . The proper way for GGG to approach a Ward fight is to announce he will fight him at 168 but not until he gets a couple under his belt at 168 as Ward is top of his class at that weight and no one should expect him take on Ward immediately just as no one should expect Ward to take on the Kovalev immediately at 175 . Where I do take issue is GGG saying he'll immediately fight Froch at 168 but won't fight Ward at all at the weight .Comment

It's actually true that Kov was hurt by Pascal . This phony Quasi-invincible Russian mistique must come to an end with u desperado fans . Look , the guy has been KOd in head gear so why is it so far fetched to believe Pascal hurt him ? Is it because he never professed it ? Wake the f..k upComment
