I seriously think Kov could just outbox Ward like he did BHop. Trying his clinching and headbutting game against the Krusher? Good luck with that, Kov is much tougher than Ward could ever hope to be, if you play dirty against the Krusher he will body you.

Lmao at the "It has been amended" statement !!! That's exactly the problem ; fighters talking nonsense and selling high stakes wolf tickets that they azz can't cash . Clearly he spewed those lies to gain notoriety while perpetrating a COMPLETE FRAUD ! And u wanna admonish the fans on here who r attempting to hold him to his word . What u need to do is stop jock riding and start admonishing fans like yourself who r so reluctant about holding their favorite boxers to their word . Your justifications for this guy's duck moves r pathetic ; "He's since amended that statement" or "That was long ago" . All I ask from GGG is that he agree to fight Ward at 168 and I don't even care if its in 2017 , just agree to it and stop selling lies already and stop with the catch weight garbage . Is that too much to ask ? If u think it is then something's wrong with u . By the way , in the past I've stuck up for GGG many times and have stated that no one should be marginalizing his accomplishments but his antics r getting a bit stale as it pertains to ward so the gloves r off .GGG made that statement back in 2011 - 2012 when he first arrived in the US and before he had even fought one fight in the US. It has been amended over the years to clarify the situation that he will only fight out of his division for a PPV fight. But of course, the GGG haters, who are of very limited intelligence it seems, like to hold on to that early statement like a pit-bull with a bone. It's understandable that they do so as not one of their heroes has the balls to sign a contract and get in the ring across from Golovkin so they have to talk tough about something.
It's actually pretty sad when you think about it that their only hope of redemption lies in a fighter who has fought once in two years against an out of shape, overweight burnout who would be better off fighting in a YouTube Bum fight.
IF catchweights bother you so much, how about the Cotto-Canelo fight? Two 154 fighters disgracing the sport by fighting at a 155 catchweight for a title that neither of them deserves to hold.Comment

Yes Kovalev has stepped up and has looked good doing it but only against two viable opponents , Pascal and Agnew . No one else on his record is really impressive to me as Boone , although tough , had almost as many losses on his record as he did wins and Cleverly had always been a paper champ .There is absolutely no comparison between John Mugabi and Kovalev. First off Sergey is way more then just a pure puncher, simply because he also happens to have pretty good boxing skills. And secondly every time the Beast stepped up he got beaten and rather easily to boot. I honestly believe it was because Hagler broke his a$$. Where as Sergey has stepped up and won and looked good while doing so.Comment

Agnew, Boone?? You are so far off the beaten path that I really feel no need to continue this conversation.Yes Kovalev has stepped up and has looked good doing it but only against two viable opponents , Pascal and Agnew . "At some point I'm going to go up to light heavyweight... I believe I can beat a Klitschko... I'm wired to believe that..."
He must have been wired all right.

the kessler fight was a long time ago, and the asswhooping was already taking place by the time the first cut opened in the seventh round.
kessler could have probably brought a twin brother and tagged out each round, and he'd still have lost.
i didn't expect salty british rhetoric from you, but here it is

By now u should be able to distinguish the difference between a fighters speculative and hyper-superficial commentary , from their REAL ambitions. Even Timothy Bradley has recently spoke of beating Klitscho for crying out loud , but I don't think anyone is silly enough to hold him to it . The part I will Ward hold Ward to is at least moving up one or two weight classes more and eventually fighting KovComment
