When you're fighting someone who has a lot of skill himself, yet you're giving up size and whole lot of power, yes it means a lot, probably too much.

Unless you're one of those jokers who thought Kovalev was an unskilled brawler and would be "skooled" vs BHop..

That is something that happens BEFORE a fight is signed, before the fighters ever enter the ring together. It involves all sorts of details such as where the fight will happen, how much each fighter will be paid, things such as what gloves will be used and yes, what weight the fight will be fought at.

A lot of things have to happen before you can start making claims about what ANYONE has said, especially when they have not said anything close to what you are claiming to this point. So while you may take issue with something that Golovkin NEVER SAID, I must take issue with you putting words in his mouth.
Bottom line is this ; GGG has already proclaimed that he'll fight anyone between 154 through 168 , now with that being said , excuse me if I get a bit perturbed if I hear catch-weight nonsense from him or his camp as he has sold a huge wolf ticket and yes I bought it . R u gonna give me a full refund ? If not , then please shut the f..k to me !

GGG made that statement back in 2011 - 2012 when he first arrived in the US and before he had even fought one fight in the US. It has been amended over the years to clarify the situation that he will only fight out of his division for a PPV fight. But of course, the GGG haters, who are of very limited intelligence it seems, like to hold on to that early statement like a pit-bull with a bone. It's understandable that they do so as not one of their heroes has the balls to sign a contract and get in the ring across from Golovkin so they have to talk tough about something.

It's actually pretty sad when you think about it that their only hope of redemption lies in a fighter who has fought once in two years against an out of shape, overweight burnout who would be better off fighting in a YouTube Bum fight.

IF catchweights bother you so much, how about the Cotto-Canelo fight? Two 154 fighters disgracing the sport by fighting at a 155 catchweight for a title that neither of them deserves to hold.

                      this
The people that just think he is puncher clearly haven't watched enough Kovalev fights.
