Wait, so Floyd convincingly beats a future HOF'er/top5 P4P/arguable ATG and has to share 'fighter of the year' with someone who feeds on cans: Martin Murray and Willie Munroe Jr do not = a good win over Pac.

The writer of the article is either ridiculously biased or just got paid from someone to put Golovkin wins over Murray and Monroe on the same level as Mayweather's over Pacquiao.
      Can't be serious... lol
Kovalev's win over Pascal is also better than any of GGG's, Thurman's win over Guerrero is also better than any of GGG's, I don't say Garcia's win because he lost in my book but if we strictly look at the official results then Danny Garcia's win over Peterson is probably also a better win than Golovkin's over Murray. Degale's win over Dirrell is clearly a better win than any of Golovkin's. Wilder's win over Stiverne is also arguably a better win than Golovkin's. Makabu's win over Mchunu also arguably better.
But I guess it's whatever because they haven't got the HBO hype machine behind them with full force.

The Golovkin hype is unbelievable now, they really try to force fed him as a next wonder without even beating a single elite fighter. They badly want to try to make this guy hated or loved. Maybe they already achieved it. It's not easy to not get annoyed by a hype like this even if you know that this isn't the boxer's fault.

And then there are some people here who say Bradley or Canelo gets undeserved hype, lol... Look attheir resumes first, then talk again.

Fonfara-Chavez really wasn't much of an upset

People just expected it to be more competitive and it turned into a lesson

I agree GGG is getting a lil much hype for being "loveable" (especially compared to his peer Kovalev who has better wins)

But you're comparing single great wins to 2 good wins. The question isn't who had the best single win of 2015, it's who has had the best year so far.

The hype of Golovkin is beyond ridiculous. Murray/Monroe is as good as beating Pacquiao?

This is just a mid season review. Beating Manny is obvioulsy more impressive. But Murray is not a Bum. Most think he was robbed in his previous 2 losses before facing Golovkin. If the Martinez fight wasn't in Argentina he could have gotten the win. Making him the lineal champ when Golovkin fights him, because there is no way Cotto would have went after the Murray fight with 10 million on the table for Canelo.

Ward is just happy to be back. He has nothing to brag about.

He should get the fight with May jr and chase the chicken all over the house!!!

Beating Manny is the equivalent of beating Murray and Monroe. I don't know whether to laugh or get mad.

                    >Co-fighters of the year: Gennady Golovkin/Floyd Mayweather Jr.

Oh boy, here comes the **** fest of "but beating top 5 contenders is no good, they need to be e-l33t" comments aimed at GGG.

But I'd be surprised if Mayweather doesn't sweep fighter of the year honors.

GGG gets more credit for beating bums than any fighter I can remember. Even when the unjustified hype of Adrien Broner was at its peak. He was fighting and defeating better opponents than GGG is.
