All this crying over a ****** ****ing statue. This thread just reminds me why I hate Philly teams and their miserable fans.

I don't like the race card been played when it suits someone but I don't know Philadelphia or the situation, but one thing am going to agree with is the worshipping of a frictional character when you have real life boxers that came out of the city.Comment

Philly is rich in Boxing and has produced many fighters.
That said, it is a slap to the face of Joe Frazier and Hopkins having Rocky Balboas statue on Philly public ground.
De La Hoya has his statue outside the Staples Center
Rocky Balboas statue needs to be made of wax and be placed in a wax museum
Nobody is remotely angry or attributing it to "racism"
But Los Angeles poops all over Philly anywayComment

damn, you are ******.
he wants credit for turning his life around, which he deserves.
he thinks athletes living a normal life should merely get the same amount of credit for their accomplishments within their sport, as athletes who behave poorly.
is it fair that athletes receive more attention and money as a result of getting in trouble? does that send a good message to the youth?
He doesn't deserve ****. He turned his life around for himself, how the **** does that affect me and why the **** should I give him credit for that? He shouldn't have gone to jail in the first place if you ask me.
This is boxing, the most exciting fighters in and out of the ring get the most attention, it's not civic courses or some sht.
ODLH and Wlad Klitshcko must be bad boys for getting attention and being paid I guess. You know what Borenard can build his statue in his own backyard because he's about the only person who want to see that sht.Comment

"I listed 8 black people who all but 1 were confirmed murders of white officers shooting down black citizens." Those are your words not mine and why am I not surprised that you tried to pass off your mistake on someone else? As for that police officer in St Louis did they press charges against him? No, they did not.
I also must be at the bottom of that totem pole you speak of because 30 or so years ago I was the victim of police brutality, it was a day that changed my life forever.
What happened? Five white police officers whooped my a$$ and why? Because I had long hair and a Harley t-shirt on and they perceived me as a threat. There wasn't much more to it and I was as innocent as the day is long.
That happened on a public street and it happened once again behind the closed doors of the police station. It took a very long time to get over it and someways I still haven't. However, overtime my feeling began to change.
It actually really began to change when I went into the US Army. I actually worked with and around police officers. From that experience I learned that not all cops were the redneck a$$holes that I thought they were.
Therefore I could no longer condemn all police officers because of a few bad apples. Just as I refuse to condemn all blacks or ******s for the actions of a small percentage within each group.
With all that said. To say that police brutality isn't a real concern would be an absolute lie. But what bothers me the most is when it keeps being made into a racial issue. I know from first experience that it isn't and I still have the scars to prove it. All I can say is that I had to learn to deal with it because the hatred would have consumed me alive if I had let it.
Just a thought in closing. Last year there were sixty police officers murdered in the line of duty within the United States. How many people do you believe went out and protested their deaths?
I hope the revelation of ur story was not to suggest that the target arrow of police brutality spins indiscriminately irrespective of color , caste or creed ? If that was your point , then let me say that nothing could be further from the truth as evidenced by multiple police depts across the nation are now under investigation by the D.O.J for targeting blacks and other minority groups for revenue generating citations not to mention the more serious felonious crimes .
Bottom line is this , police r rapidly beggining to see the communities they sworn to protect as enemies to the public policy , especially minority communities . If you've seen the latest incident of the high school kids at a pool party in a Texas neighborhood then u know what I mean . Of all the kids dispersing from that backyard (black and white) , why was it only the black teenagers being thrown to the the ground and having guns pointing at them ?
These a serious and pandemic type problem going on in this country right now and the only way to solve it is together . The architects/social engineers have infused a police state on us right before our eyes so I really don't have alot of time for those who defend the policing methods or attempt to misconstrue the issue by diverting it to saying how ALL the police aren't bad , which really isn't the point . And just because YOU got beat by a rouge group of white cops does NOT mean that there isn't systemic racism towards blacks and other minority built into standard policing operations . I don't call police racist because I naively believed they never gave a white an unmitigated beating .Comment

Im sincerely disheartened to hear of your beating at the hands of a group of ignorant vigilantes who were posing as cops , and dispite what u may believe about me I detest law enforcement officials who does this to anyone .What u experienced is called "profiling" due to a particular manner in which u like to wear your hair coupled with the way u dress . Minority communities deal with profiling a whole lot .

It is. Plus if you go to any local fights, it's over 50% blacks. Most white people I know from the city don't even care about boxing, not sure where BHop is making this huge assumption from unless it's racially motivated itself. He thinks media = white people opinions.Comment

bhop is a fkng cry baby in and out of the ring. he would have gotten a statue if he never said anything ****** and arrogant out his mouth which he does all the time.Comment

The story was how the police would pull over a car with black males in it , plant a dirty gun , and claim they found it . Maybe u should read up on how systemic this kinda stuff is before u make blind blanket statements about conditions u know nothing about . I also have articles of Baltimore police pleading guilty to involvement in heroin rings . Let me know if ud like me to post it . In closing I'll say this ; while black on black violence is a issue that needs to be delt with more , in terms of PURE criminality , it's nothing compared to the social engineers who create the conditions for it to exist.
When u rob or deny a community of educational funding , then on top of that u ship all the manufacturing jobs overseas , then u have corporations putting pressure and giving back door money to top police officials to send more people to the new prison they just built , then in comes a dirty agency like the CIA filtering drugs into the same area . What do think happens at that point ? Have u ever heard of the real Rick Ross ? My poing is that u shouldn't make silly open ended statements about black on black crime if ur too ****** to see the Forrest for the trees ! Maybe u should read Gary Webb's book Dark Alliance to properly educate yourself , because what your doing is akin to starting a movie at the last 10 minutes and trying to make a judgment as to why the people r killing each other .Comment

There's a widespread myth in poorer black communities that the corporate world and media world are "white" when it's simply not true. Unless you have an extremely ridiculously stretched definition of white that includes all Asians, ***s, Indians, Arabs, South Americans, etc.
I think most of the time they just realize saying they hate everyone who isn't black would be poorly received so they say "white" instead even though they basically mean the entire outside world.Last edited by ////; 06-09-2015, 09:04 PM.Comment
