The guy who compared them to the Japanese who still thought the war was going on after it ended is literally a perfect analogy.

Definitely one of the best analogies I've ever seen.

        The 5 stages of grief:

        1. Denial and isolation
        2. Anger
        3. Bargaining
        4. Depression
        5. Acceptance

At first they were in complete denial. Then they were angry and started petitions, spewing racist comments, and spamming.

Right now they are in the bargaining stage:

"If only these rounds were scored this way"

"If only the commentary was like this"

"If only the judges gave more credit for this but less credit for that"

You can say Cotto did better than Manny against Floyd but Cotto also did better than Floyd against Manny.

Mayweather is like a video game boss, you have to deplete his health before the timer runs out. No decisions, no even rounds, no draws. If he's still standing at the end he automatically wins.

But based on real boxing rules the fight was close and Manny outboxed Floyd for long stretches in the fight.

Cotto's defence isn't good enough, he's too stationary, has no upper body/head movement and is too slow for Floyd, he cuts the ring off well though I'd give him that.

There's a very strong anti Pacquiao sentiment on here, because he didn't fight a certain way he doesn't get credit. Truth is Pacquiao put on a defensive masterclass in there and for the most part took away Floyd's right hand, something very hard to do!

Cotto does no better in the rematch. People are swayed with Floyd, the opponent has to do something "fight his fight" throw dozens of punches. You'll never get credit for making Floyd miss and countering him, because he's assumed to win every fight he doesn't get pressured non stop in.

                These are the facts!
If we talk about rounds, than Pac did bether.
If we talk about physical damage, then Cotto did the best of all Mayweather opponents.
Just rewatched May Cotto today, this ws hell of a fight. Mayweather took a lot of punishment there, a lot of powerfull bodyshots, a lot of hard punches to the face. I understand why after this fight Mayweather considered retirement.
