It isn't Cotto's fault Martinez was in no condition.
Cotto went out and took care of business which is all you can ask a fighter.

I'm more disappointed with his recent acts. Saying Canelo hasn't shined when his resume and numbers speak for themselves. As well as saying ggg has a weak resume all the while having a voluntary against someone on ggg's resume.

    Weak sauce from Cotto.
I'm so sick of GGG's fanb1tches b1tch'n n moan'n about Cotto not fighting GGG I don't know what to do. Cotto has fought everybody who they said was somebody, reached BOSS status, and reserved the right to close out his career however he likes. The real irony is that while Cotto is seen as an old legend on the way out. And GGG is the up-n-comer looking for a signature fight. These muf.uckaz are basically the same age. Let that marinate. And when it does you'll realize how pathetic Triple Joke's resume is.

Maybe because Martinez had ling standing, well documented problems with his knee. And Manny's shoulder problems only started when he lost to Floyd. Not to mention we've heard about 15 different accounts of the injury, when it occurred, and the level of seriousness.

To be fair GGG didn't go pro until May 2006 because of his very substantial and successful amateur career. With that said he has been able to accomplish quite a career for himself while growing his stock by being an exciting fighter. I think most fans are just upset at the fact that Cotto is holding the lineal championship at 160lbs hostage. While I completely agree that Cotto should take care of himself financially I don't agree that he should hold the belt if he is not willing to defend it against the #1 opposition at that weight. I have to add that it is not entirely Cotto's fault, the organizations have plenty of fault for letting that happen, not just with Cotto but with other fighters.

Another example of a guy who doesn't see the hypocrisy.

Screams at how GGG's resume is pathetic, but defends Cotto for fighting a voluntary with someone on GGG's resume.

You people need to be checked.

              Nothing bit the truth!!

Let's not forget their stance on catch weights now. The majority approve it when they were the first to cry when someone did it to Cotto. That's what you call fan boys.

Cotto was an accomplished amatuer himself. The fact is he's a surefire HOF'r, and the same age as GGG, a glorified prospect.

As for the middleweight title, who gives a ****. Fighters make titles, not visa versa. Since when did the lineal title become so important? Floyd is criticized to this day for fighting Baldomir for the lineal welterweight title. And for my money, Cotto is worst as thr middleweight champion than Baldomir was as welterweight champion.

That's the truth and what I've been saying, a healthy Martinez will beat him 99.9%.

I don't defend Cotto for doing **** other than earning the right to do whatever he wants. The irony is, you criticize him for fighting GGG's signature opponent at this point in his career. He's 33 BTW. 33 and his best win is Daniel flip'n Geale. Let that marinate.

funny how it went from cotto not wanting to fight martinez cause hes hurt to, people saying he was ducking martinez and scared to, he has no chance look at the size difference to, the sergio win means nothing he cherry picked a hurt over the hill fighter. if you could show how ridiculous boxing fans could be this is probably the best case study of them all lol
