Yeah. Really wanted him to do a number on Marg, and when he did I was really happy for him and I generally thought he was a man that stood for what boxing really is about.
I'm not defending Trout at all. I said he's a B class fighter Cotto lost to... How is that defending? It was a bad loss for Cotto, **** happens. You're the one trying to make it out as some big win. You make excuses for Kirkland well how about the excuses for Trout and Lara. Lara won that fight and Trout would have but open scoring (and bad scoring) ruined any chance he had.
I don't see what you fail to understand. I understand you have Canelo's nuts in your throat, but you're blinded by them at the same time. He's best wins, are Trout and Lara. Cotto's are Mosley and Martinez... We didn't even bring up how they did against Floyd, that's all the proof you need to see who is an A class and who the B class fighter is.
Sure man. Whatever helps you defend your boy. Again it's what biitches do best, defend their man. Even when they contradict themselves.
So what will you say when Canelo beats Cotto? I think they both are terrific fighters, and I don't need to take a side like you little boys that have never been in a ring, or a boxing gym for that matter.
To say Canelo is a B fighter is as idiotic as saying Cotto is. Both are fantastic fighters and I think we are all in for a great fight. I have to give it to the younger, stronger, bigger fighter in Canelo but if Cotto wins, I wouldn't be surprised.
A little boy who's never been in the ring? I never boxed professionally, I did my fair share of sparring and training before getting injured. I did more than 90% of the posters on here.
Canelo is a B class fighter. Why? Because he's never beaten an A class fighter and he's struggled in every win against B class opposition. What if Canelo wins? Good for him, I don't see it happening. I'm not saying Canelo sucks, I'm saying he hasn't done anything great in the sport and he's failed to impress unless it's VASTLY smaller opponents (everyone he fought before 154) or VASTLY outclassed (Everyone he fought at 154/155, except for Trout/Lara/Floyd) He arguably lost all 3 of those fights.
That's all I'm saying. His resume is exactly as I say not some mythical untouchable names of murderer's row that you guys proclaim, because it's not.

How am I contradicting myself, I'm still waiting for your answer to that. Because I said GGG's resume is crap? It's the same as Canelo's resume really, two good wins that's it nothing special. His best win is Geale and that's who Cotto is fighting. Where is the contradiction?
Yeah. Really wanted him to do a number on Marg, and when he did I was really happy for him and I generally thought he was a man that stood for what boxing really is about.
Turns out I was horribly wrong.
I hear you, but I don't think you were horribly wrong. I do think the Marg experience helped turn him into what he is today: someone who is no longer willing to simply be a warrior for the fans' sake and needs to be more calculating with the risks he takes, for the sake of his longevity (during and after boxing) and the future of his family. I don't fault him for that. He's not a young guy anymore. If he doesn't look out for his own interests, who will? The boxing community?
However, I've said many times that I do not like how Cotto has managed his career since the Martinez fight. I'm not willing to give up on him yet, though. He's paid in blood for where he is today. I'm hoping that once the Geale fight is done, he goes back to making the fights the fans want to see.

canelos resume is crap???
i dont know why is anybody debating with you...

this guy.
You can't see the contradiction between crapping on GGG's resume all the while defending Cotto who is fighting a guy on Ggg's resume?
You also can't see the contradiction in crapping all over Canelo's victory against Trout while defending the guy who lost to him?
Wow. We've reached new levels of ******ity on nsb.

I think most people forget that Canelo is only 24 years old, he is still a baby! How many boxers that age do you know have his resume? When Cotto was 24 he was not fighting the Mayweathers of the world, hell when Mayweather was 24 he was not fighting the Mayweathers of the world. Canelo, to me, is very impressive due to his age. He has the old school mentality and that I can appreciate more than anything as a fan of the sport. Like him or hate him I think he will give fans many years of exciting fights.
