He didn't want Canelo then, and I bet he sure as hell doesn't want him now, after seeing him decimate Kirkland. Do you think Cotto could have done that to Kirkland?
Really? Who walked away in the negotiations over the "mexican dates"?

Really??? You do know it only took Ishida 1 round to stop Kirkland?

Golovkin is already 32 which makes it tougher. James Toney was the last guy to ever start at 154 or 160 in his career and get three titles.

Nobody sees Golovkin beating Toney prime for prime either.
Well of course. But there were some people comparing GGG to hagler smh

Are you joking? Is that a joke question? You may not agree that Cotto was reluctant but you certainly know the reasons why people think he was/is!

I already explained to you earlier. You can disagree that's your view but don't ask why, you know why!

You know exactly what Cotto is getting ABUSED over!
Boxing fans are too impatient. The fights will come, and no not in 5 years.

If you can explain Cotto being "reluctant" to fight Canelo you can go ahead & shoot for it. I could always use a good laugh.

That is your opinion & yes you should care & it does matter because Cotto has a proven track record of fighting anyone.

Cotto waited until the deadline just to say "no". He didn't give Canelo any room for further negotiations. ODH even said they felt Cotto just wasn't going to work to make the fight, so they walked.

Kirkland's loss to Ishida was his only one at the time, and regarded as an oddity. He was still feared by the time he fought Canelo. No one knew what to expect, including you.

I have to hand it to you bro, you're loyal to the last breath. Cotto should send you regular checks, thank you cards and tickets to his fights. Hell, he should have you over for the holidays!

If he cherry-picks old, come-forward, one-leg-out-the-door, Froch..... then he most fkn definitely will need to validate himself by fighting Ward LOL.

                  Are you serious ?

If you think that Cotto has to "validate" himself against Golovkin, then after Froch, you bet your live that Hypekin will have to fight Ward next.

The blatant bias toward Golovkin - who has done NOTHING - is sickening !

                  • Cotto is on an ATG ducking streak. Just look at this:

                    http://boxrec.com/list_bouts.php?hum...3535&cat=boxer

His "Reign" at 154: 3 injured retirees. He managed to become champion and defend the belt while ducking the ENTIRE division, every serious competitor was avoided.

Now he is doing the same thing at 160. After beating crippled retiring Martinez at a catchweight, he is fighting Geale the shellshocked retiring leftovers of the actual champion, at a catchweight.

It has been 8 years since Cotto beat Shane Mosely. Since then he has done absolutely nothing of note other than be from the right country.

How can you honestly criticize Golovkin's resume when losing a split decision to Clottey was the pinnacle of your entire career? Wanna run through that list and check for yourself? It's true.

He didn't say "no". That is an utter lie. "We'll get back to you on tuesday".Canelo didn't wanna wait cuz of that "mexican date" and walked away.

Ishida is a light puncher ffs. "an oddity"
