    It had to be.

These clowns will tell you it was becuase he won the eliminater vs Sam, but why the **** was that ever an eliminator in the 1st place?

Neither of those two have any business being anwhere near the top 5 in any sanctioning body.

Once again, fights are scored by scoring individual rounds. I highly doubt you even sat down and scored it round by round, because everything you've said so far has been garbage and non sense.

Dispite beign in poor shape, Toney threw 650 + punches, well above the Heavyweight average, and he had Rahman hesitant to fight on the inside, or to throw his right hand. If Rahman's not throwing his right, and not pressing forward with his size, what's he doing that's so effective? Jabbing, which doesn't outweight Toney's clean and effective punching in a majority of the rounds.

It was a tight fight to score, and one deserving of a rematch.
The only reason the fight was close is because Rahman was fighting Toney's fight by fighting on the inside. Toney and Rahman should rematch because the fight was ruled a draw but wrongfully so imo. Who is to say that the fight won't end up with the same results causing more clutter in the division.

What the **** are you talking about? Did you even watch this fight?

Rahman was avoiding fighting Toney on the inside the majority of the time. He would stand outside, pump the jab, and back up to the middle of the ring.

Anytime he got near the inside, he got wacked, and his corner would yell at him to stay in the center of the ring, and not to come at Toney.

All this talk about Toney not being a Heavyweight, and Rahman with his size and strenght advantage coudln't come forward to fight him, and couldn't throw his right hand (his best punch).

He was busy in that fight, but not effective. That's what made the scoring tight.

You can disagree with the rematch all you want, but the bottom line is that it's nowhere near as bad as Oleg Maskaev getting a title shot.

What did Toney do to deserve a shot? He beat and old Evander, Guinn who already lost a few? At least Maskaev holds a KO victory over the reigning champ and that scores points in my book. Rahman should want to avenge a loss like that. **** setting the record straight with Toney, he should set the record straight with the guy who sent him flying out of the ring and put him to sleep.

Toney was the man at Cruiserweight before moving to Heavy. That secured him a legitimate spot in the top ten and he's been a fixture there since.

I can see why Rahman would want to avenge his loss to Maskaev, but objectivly from a rankings stand point, that was Seven years ago (1999). By that logic people could say Charrles Shufford or Etienne (I know he's in jail) deserve a crack at Brewster.
