Good. I would rather see this than a re-match with Toney. Toney had his shot and he blew it.

Toney should take a fight in the mean time, as he gets to face the winner of this fight.

He's blew it man, no one will want to see it again.

The fight was a draw whether you like it or not.

          Read closer:

Both fighters should agree that the winner of the Rahman vs. Maskaev fight must fight James Toney as voted by the Board of Governors.

Sure, why not? Lets slow down this unification process even further

...Wow this looks familiar. Could have sworn someone else already posted this. I must be seeing things.

Where is the unification that everybody talked about? How can WBC rule that the winner MUST face Toney, doesn't a champion get at least one fight before fighting a mandatory? This is just pathetic.

Toney didn't deserve a title shot to begin with. Comes in ridiculously overweight and out of shape, looks terrible, and is gifted with a draw in a fight that Rahman obviously won, and is now guaranteed a rematch?

They love their sactioning fees, I'll tell ya...

Idiotic/corrupt judging and greedy sanctioning bodies are why boxing is a bottom tier sport. Sad.

Toney will probably have plenty of time to properly stack and complete a cycle this time, however. He should be able to set up a perfect cycle and test clean, knowing this far ahead of time almost exactly when the rematch should occur once they set the Maskaev bout.

What is the point of giving Toney another shot at the winner of this match?
