No, it isn't. I can promise you that 100%. This is purely based on boxing, and the only reason anyone would think this is political is based on me being Ukrainian and posting about a Russian. You can imagine another poster would post this and no-one would bat an eye. I'm not pathetic like other posters in here who have brought up nationality as a ploy to discredit this thread and argument, but I assure you I respect Povetkin as a fighter and have merely put the discussion into the open, which initially began between me and Dan_cov in the RBR thread.
Do you think Povetkin is on PEDs?

It would be more interesting to hear Perez' explanation for his piss poor 'performance'... Not taking anything away from Sasha, mind you. But Perez wasn't in the arena, so to say.Comment

He will probably say he was caught cold, or was shocked by Povetkin's accuracy and power. Interesting to see what Perez's next move will be...he will need to rebuild. Probably will fight someone like Charr.Comment

Ok Pain, thanks for giving a good account of yourself here mate, that was good of you...No, it isn't. I can promise you that 100%. I can see the catch your talking about but you must also be aware that your immediately subjected to such su****ion of bias straight away.
The same can be said of Wladimir regarding PED's also right, who even looks more like he is using than Povetkin right?
Perez himself looks like he is using PED's moreso than Povetkin also.
All I'm getting at here is that Povetkin has never been busted and until he does, he should get the benefit of the doubt, just like WK, PErez or anyone else.
Boxing wise, you seem to have based his roid use on his recent KO streak. Well he wasted Charr and Takam after rounds, so it wasn't like he iced them in 1 round like Perez.
Povetkin really is good, and strong, he always was, and after going 12 rounds with Wladimir Klitschko, one would expect the guy to have lifted his game to new heights, as he's shown. He is hungry.Comment

You respect shit. People who make these types of threads, always after a win, "is so and so on PEDs!?!?" have an agenda. You are clearly biased no matter what you say or else YOU WOULDN'T HAVE MADE THIS THREAD. This has nothing to do with boxing and everything to do with your agenda. Do you make threads asking if someone is on PEDs because you love boxing so much? Obviously not.
Threads like this should be an automatic ban. Minutes after fighter wins, person "suspects" PED's and makes a thread about it - ban. No exceptions.Comment

I do give Povetkin the benefit of the doubt. I have said multiple times - he is innocent until proven guilty. I will reiterate my points though. PEDs have nothing to do with his body changes or him getting into better shape, i'm not an expert on PEDs but I assume there are things available that enhance strength and power. The only thing I am saying is that Povetkin MIGHT be on something, due to the SEEMINGLY increased power in his punches since the Wlad loss, which is merely being used as a reference point since that was his only defeat, incidentally at home, and will go down in the records as quite a humbling defeat. With Povetkin's recent change of team and coach, perhaps this could have led to some 'routine' changes also...Ok Pain, thanks for giving a good account of yourself here mate, that was good of you...

I respect Povetkin, rate him as #2 heavyweight and like him as a fighter and enjoy his fights recently...REGARDLESS OF HIS NATIONALITY - BUT I would not be surprised if he was on some sort of PEDs. Regarding Wlad and others, they might be too, but this isn't about physique - it's about increase in performance or power - dramatic and sudden - something for example Wlad hasn't shown. He has been consistent throughout his career, and has been tested, same with other fighters. Joshua, who was under Olympic testing which Freedom suggests implies no PED use as a fact, is also thought of as a user but merely for his physique.Comment

IDK bud you're not a bad poster but it is kind of hard to ignore that your countries are basically at war you're suggesting the guy is on PEDs based on a fight that lasted like 1 minute.
Povetkin looked pretty solid built, I could see some being su****ious if he was just blazing for 12 rounds showing no signs of fatigue and throwing Perez around like a child.
But a 1st round KO consisting of a few calm, accurate punches landed flush on the chin? What do PEDs have to do with that?Last edited by ////; 05-22-2015, 06:12 PM.Comment
