Find me a post of mine where I EVER defended Wlad's clinching, especially the Povetkin fight. I'll wait.
In your very first sentence you brought up Wlad you fucktard. Jesus ****ing christ man, look again:

"Povetkin has become an offensive beast since his embarrassing defeat to Wlad at home."

You're suggesting he is on PEDs because he looked poorly against Wlad, who clinched him to death, and then KOd mediocre opposition!

Yes, Russia > Ukraine, deal with it.

Are you ******ed? Yes, I am stating the FACT that since that fight Povetkin has become a lot more powerful SEEMINGLY. That point is regarding a POTENTIAL reason for why Povetkin would use PEDs. He was embarrassed in front of his home crowd and dominated by Wlad (albeit with Wlad's unsightly tactics which I don't approve of), and following that his stock was quite low and he needed to rebuild his career with some impressive performances.

Mediocre opposition? His last 3 fights he has fought better opposition than anyone he faced prior to Wlad - except maybe Huck, a cruiserweight who he couldn't KO and almost lost!

No, I'm suggesting he was never as powerful as he is now, KOing durable guys.

        USA > Russia

I judge boxers on how they fight. I like Povetkin because of how he fights, not his nationality. I don't enjoy watching a face-first brawler who is tough but poorly skilled like Provodnokov, whether he is Russian or not. Povetkin is the best combination puncher in the HW division.

Povetkin was the same as he is now early in his pro career, but went downhill while working with Teddy Atlas and a limited promoter in Sauerland. It's good to see him back in top form, and with a very good team and promoter now.

Is this thread really just a Ukraine vs Russia political stunt?

I don't think Povetkin deserves that kind of treatment based on his nationality.

Maybe the thread could have been made in Non-Boxing related forum.

These guys however do train extremely hard I almost died running 4 miles let alone the 8-12 miles pro boxers do.

I am not going to suggest he is on the gear but its su****ious how all of a sudden he is KO'ing people who were simply at the least very durable.

no HW is running 8-12 miles a day. not even close.

most of the guys you mentioned don't even run. joshua might. wladimir swims. he's too big to be running on pavement during training.

My posting history? I sometimes focus on fighters from Eastern Europe as I enjoy those fighters and there are many upcoming Ukrainian fighters, but my posting is always as impartial as possible and never nationalistic - I don't create needless arguments or preach any greatness based on nationality.

I post on a variety of fighters and fights, don't fanboy based on nationality (merely admire and support my countrymen who have success) and never badmouth fighters from nations I might not like. You Red K people who 'slav bash', even though you are Canadian, and were known as one of the biggest fanboys of Wlad on here till he disagreed with your skewed and misguided political views. So you really judge boxers on how they fight? If that's true, you'd never have been a fan of Wlad!

Povetkin is a very good fighter, and a good combination puncher I agree. I don't care about Povetkin as a person. As a boxer, since the Wlad fight, he has impressed me and I have enjoyed watching these KOs. I'd even say these fights have been more satisfying than Wlad's last ones. Just as I watch Kovalev fights, and other Russian fighters. I don't mention nationality in any of my posts unless someone starts that kind of argument first, like you seem to be.

I remember Vlad and Povetkin had the utmost respect for each other, surely nothing nationalistic got involved at the time. This is sport, not politics. Even if both men honor their respective countries deeply.
