He didn't copy off Oscar. That's irrelevant anyway. He never tried to take those dates from him like Canelo. Oscar fought on any months from January to December. I don't even think he fought the biggest Mexican legend Chavez on May or September.

Sometime in August, Oscar De La Hoya and HBO will remind Alvarez that he is nothing more than a pimple on Mayweather's ass. They will educate on the fact that Mayweather was able to convince 4.4 million to pay $100 to wathch him fight, while the only reason Alvarez's C-class slugfest with Kirkland drew more than 1.1 million views was because of the Mayweather/Pacquaio replay.

They will remind him that he couldn't push Mayweather off the May 2 date and he damn sure won't push him off the date in September. He will be assigned a date in late September or early October to fight. Oscar and HBO will remind Alvarez that he may be the man sitting next to the man, but he is not THE MAN!

Also, cotto vs Canelo will get signed first. Mayweather is notorious in announcing and finalising fights late.

Canelo is Mexican- he isn't butthurt about the loss and that's why he wants the date. He wants the date because he's Mexican

There's no way Cotto gets his old azz in the gym right after fighting in June....Cotto will not fight in Sept. His fight against Geale is too close to Sept.

If he blasts out geale in 1 round I can see cotto fighting in september.

And I don't think the cable companies would put 2 big boxing ppvs on the same night?

It won't be a PPV if it's not Cotto or GGG period. That's the only draws that can stir up a PPV. If Cotto isn't ready or Canelo feels lile he isn't ready for GGG expect a competitive but exciting fight with Canelo. I'm sure they can find someone. Like I said too I would be surprised if he put Matthysse or lemieux on the undercard.

I enjoyed the canelo-kirkland fight. I also enjoyed the floyd-pac fight as well. Wasn't floyds fault (the defense guy) that pacquiao ( the offense guy) didn't do anything but land what 80 punches something like that.

imo arum mad he beat his "cash cow" donaire and made him look like an amateur. Rigo's people doesn't help matters either.

This isn't about blaming Manny/Floyd for the mega suck fest that was MayPac, that fight is done & was boring as fcuk. Both Manny/Floyd are on the verge of retirement, when it comes to PPV's it's the right time to offer the top dates to exciting guys like Canelo, Crawford, GGG, Broner etc. Any of these guys against decent opponents will be much more exciting & definitely worth the $100 PPV price as compared to anyone else that Floyd/Manny fight at this time. Oscar shouldn't offer the Sept dates to Floyd/Manny especially if they decide to rematch...none of that shyt again please.

And all the people saying that Cotto will fight in Sept...not gonna happen, he fights in June & there is no way he's getting is old azz in gym for a Sept fight.

Cotto won't go against Floyd. You know he is a businessman and actually wants to make money and maximize his profits. He doesn't want to be fighting in some old stadium down south with tickets priced at 5dollars

Canelo will learn once he grows up and stop trying to live off his Daddy Mayweather name. Had to schedule his fight a week after Floyds just for views.

I'm hoping that happens, there's no decent opponents other than Cotto for Canelo. If Canelo-Cotto happens..both these guys will have to wait for another big name opponent at 154.
