Regarding Ishida, when guys like Bob Arum can't sell 2 time Olympic gold medalists like Guillermo Rigo to the American audience, you really expect promoters/HBO/Sho to be able to sell Ishida who is Japanese & can't speak English to save his life? Had Ishida been a non English speaking Mexican..things might have worked out for him/his career...it's a business after all.
But the participants werent. Hell one of them i didnt even know fought anymore. But like i said in another thread, Floyd schooling of Pac is changing mentalities. Gone are the days of NSB screaming for best v best.

        It's business.

Floyd fans don't see their hero is fading. Noone was interested in whom Floyd was fighting unless he faced Pacquiao. Then most people got excited and had their hopes up for an exciting fight, but were sorely disappointed in how uneventful the fight turned out to be.

Floyd fans don't get that many people will not blame Pacquiao for not being able to force Floyd to fight. They will see through that and put the blame where it belongs, which is on Floyd.

Even if this is Floyd's farewell fight, it will be another forgettable fight. I would be surprised if his PPV numbers are large. I think Canelo can start dictating his own terms.

He didn't copy off Oscar. That's irrelevant anyway. He never tried to take those dates from him like Canelo. Oscar fought on any months from January to December. I don't even think he fought the biggest Mexican legend Chavez on May or September.

There's no way Cotto gets his old azz in the gym right after fighting in June....Cotto will not fight in Sept. His fight against Geale is too close to Sept.

Canelo going for 0-3 vs. Mayweather.

Can't wait for Mayweather to snag Cotto for September. Canelo will be left avoiding a Golovkin fight.
