And thats what i mean by mentality has changed. Floyd schooling of Pac is going to change the sport.im sorry but im tired of the way hbo sells boxing. i for one enjoy all types of boxing i love the chess like strategy and how every fight and style is different i love it all and this whole only brawlers are entertaining or that boxers are scared fighters is honestly an insult to boxing fans intelligence and imo has destroyed the sport. its no longer about whos the best its about whos willing to leave on a stretcher and give up his long term health to try n win. Am i the only one left who appreciates all different styles of boxing matches?
For the better? Time will tell but since these 2 are at the end im excited for the next era to begin and see what they bring.Comment

As opposed to pbc overpaying mostly average guys in **** fights?Good post.
HBO/Herschman have figured out it is more profitable to put on lower caliber fighters in low skilled, violent action fights or give their big names easy wins over opponents who have shown an ability to "look good while losing".
These fighters fight for much lower purses and will take the same low payment each time they are on.
Reading the comments, there is a large group of fans that like this so it is not likely to change.Comment

Have PBC fights been that bad this year? I think not. If you think so, fine.
If watching Canelo v Kirkland type fights on a regular basis is what you like you will get plenty of that. It's not surprising that Danny v Salka was the most watched SHO fight last year.
Its just a shame to see HBO downplay actual boxing skills in favor of lower skilled, volume punchers that do not have the discipline or talent to develop skills.Comment
