Floyd beating Manny means about as much as Lewis beating Tyson

The fight would have happened years ago if Pac had just submitted to the drug testing required for a fair fight. That Pac only agreed to testing towards the end of his career to get a massive pay off is his fault not Floyds.
Floyd dismantled and destroyed the Pacquiao myth last nite. If Pac thinks he would have done better 5 years ago he has only his self to blame for preventing it.Comment

srsly leave youre not a real boxing fan, real fans give credit where its due, not make excuses after losses. You cant use the past prime excuses because floyd is also past prime and also older. the fight would have gone the same way 5 years. face it. manny isnt on floyds level.Comment

No, we cannot have it both ways. Before this fight ever happened almost everyone on here was saying that Money was afraid of Pac and that he had posed the greatest risk to his undefeated record; Even after being KO by JMM. However, now since Floyd has exposed Pac as limited fighter, it seems that Manny's most ardent supporters and fans are jumping ship and off his bandwagon by proclaiming that he is a shot and washed up fighter at this current moment; Something that Pac fans would have never said about Floyd Mayweather, Jr. Had he lost to Manny Pacquiao. This just sounds like sour g****s to me. If Manny was so much past his prime, then why did so many of his fans even demand this fight in the first place, if they'd thought that it was a forgone conclusion that he would lose to Floyd?Comment

I wholeheartedly agree. This fight should not of happened near the end of Manny's career.
Manny is way past his prime. This fight should not mean much historically due to that fact. Smaller aggressive fighters primes are short, he is 36 yrs old, he has had over 60fights, he has been in numerous wars. He is just not the Manny of old and he had to be in order to win last night.
As for Floyd's age he is still in his prime even though he is older than Pac. He is a larger fighter who is a defensive fighter so those types of fighters have a longer shelf life. He has never been in any wars that would make him age in the ring, he has no real bad habits regarding his lifestyle (accept beating well you know..). Most importantly he took 2yrs off which obviously was very good for him.
It is not Manny's fault this fight was made too late, but it is Floyd's fault for not fighting him 5yrs ago. Floyd cheated fans out of a truly great historical fight. That is why he can't be compared to Leonard, Hagler, Hearns, or Ali. When people look back at this fight they will give Manny a pass, just like people give Sugar Ray a pass when he lost to Norris and Sugar was a year younger than Manny and had far less miles on his odometer.
Floyd should get some credit, but people should add that he beat an old Pacman.Comment

Lol only a dumb flowmoe **** like you wouldn't be ale to see the fact that Pc has declined far more than Floyd due to styles, just like Tyson has declined far more than Lewis. What a dumb ****.
So a 30 year old Pac would have beaten the Floyd of 6 years ago also? The Floyd that was faster, had better movement, better legs, more combinations, faster on the counter, punched harder, basically better in evey single than both the Floyd of today and any version of Pac ever? Yeah mate. Sure.
By the Pac of five years ago, you mean the version that lost to a slow, small, 40 year old lightweight? He beats a better version of Floyd? Ok....yeah. Makes a lot of sense.
Floyd of today whitewashed Canelo while 6 years ago he struggled with Oscar. PAC of today couldn't hurt Rios or stop Algieri, 5 years ago he was knocking down and stopping Cotto,
By the Pac of 5 years ago I'm talking about the one that beat Cotto, l2read dumb ass flowmoe.Comment
