Floyd beating Manny means about as much as Lewis beating Tyson

The 30 year old Prime Pac who stopped Cotto would have beaten Floyd. Even this 36 year old shot Pac (who couldn't stop Algieri or drop bum bum Rios) had Mayweather on the ropes and was landing combos, and stole 4 rounds. If this was prime Pac from 5-6 years ago (the one who dropped Cotto twice) Floyd would have been seriously hurt or dropped in the 4th round. But the old shot Pacquiao just didn't have the power and stamina to do it.

Floyd was smart to duck Pac for the past 5 years because he knew his style aged far better than Pacquiao's, just like Lewis's style aged far better than Tyson's. But prime Tyson would still have destroyed lewis, just like prime Pac beats Floyd.

But hey, it is what it is. Boring ass fight with lots of running/hugging. Floyd won the fight by jabbing at a distance and hugging at close range. The old shot Manny of 2015 couldn't overcome the reach disadvantage, just like old shot tyson couldn't overcome Lewis's reach.

Wouldn't have worked against prime Pac with endless stamina and real power. And Still doesnt change the fact that 1). Floyd ducked prime Pac for 6 years and 2). Pac has won more world titles than Floyd and will be ranked higher historically.

To the flowmoes, do you really think that the 36 year old Pac of 2015 who failed to stop Algieri and Rios is even half the beast that the 30 year old prime Pac who stopped Cotto and Dela hoya was?

    Tell me in the poll.
    What a dumb ****.

So a 30 year old Pac would have beaten the Floyd of 6 years ago also? The Floyd that was faster, had better movement, better legs, more combinations, faster on the counter, punched harder, basically better in evey single than both the Floyd of today and any version of Pac ever? Yeah mate. Sure.

By the Pac of five years ago, you mean the version that lost to a slow, small, 40 year old lightweight? He beats a better version of Floyd? Ok....yeah. Makes a lot of sense.

I'm a neutral. Whether it was 1998, 2009 or 2015 any version of Floyd beats any version of Pac. 'But but... 5 years ago doe'.

This fight left little doubt that Floyd beats any version of Manny. If anything Floyd had lost more in terms of physical skills, he's just a vastly superior boxer.

I think Pac would have performed a lot better in his prime, but so would of Jr. hard to say at that who would of had the advantage but Pac definitely would of given more.

History goes to show, defense usually favors over offense when 2 fighters are out of their prime.
The fight went exactly how I thought it would had Pac not showed something amazing in the opening round which he did not. I didn't think much would change after the first round.
Jr. was smart, he knew he couldn't out slug Pac despite looking like the fairly larger and even stronger guy, so he just popped and moved, popped and moved.

It was a safe game plan but I'm not sure how well the viewers feel that coughed up nearly double the cost of a normal PPV price. A lot of people I watched it with said they are done with boxing completely, repeating the word boring over and over, lol.

easy win for floyd.manny said his killer instinct was back.also floyd usually makes volume punchers, throw alot less than usual.manny has never had the skills to beat floyd...all these excuses being made for manny, prove manny fans are easily the most delusional boxing fans.a prime floyd would have beat a prime manny.

People seem to forget that Mayweather is not only older than Pacquiao, but is removed from his prime as well.

IMO Floyd hasn't been prime since the Hatton fight and Hatton did a better job than Pac before getting ko'd!!!

These two fighters were at their peak at different times to be both prime at the same time...

So for this comparison, we are sending Manny back in time...but somehow Floyd isn't getting any younger?...you do know Floyd is 2 years older than Manny right?

Floyd has had hia skills diminish just like Manny...maybe even more so, since he had more skills to begin with...

This "poll" is laughably biased lol...

no Floyd did not beat a "prime" Pac...but PAC got schooled by an over the hill Mayweather...

What does that say?...I'm sorry Pac fans...but the Pretty Boy Floyd that beat Gatti, or Hatton would have decimated Manny at any point in his career...

Prime or no prime he still beat Manny Pacquiao and this will have huge historical significance.

Ridiculous comparison, Tyson was a good 15 years past his best and wasn't considered number 2 or 3 in the world like Pacquiao.
