Al Haymon doesn't have problems with the "Ali Act".
His main issues are:
1) He got a financial arrangement for 2 years only;
2) He didn't manage to somehow "include" the sanctioning bodies in his scheme.

If they drag him into court it will be bad for his business model.

What difference does it make to you if they get a million dollars per fight, you're a boxing fan, you should want to see a good match-up for that million.

Haymon is just bad for everyone else's business. I personally do not have an issue with what he is doing, but I hope and pray he improves the quality of those PBC shows. They feel like boxing watered down. The energy of the events are non existent.

PBC is not good because there's little risk in the match-ups. It doesn't capture the imagination.

Haymon is not waiting on HBO or Showtime. He's putting his own mone (well investor money) and taking huge risks. And I as a boxing fan have to applaud that.

Taking risks with other people's money and then not putting on good match-ups. Sure it's "free", but so what if it's not worth watching and the majority of these PBC cards have been very skippable.

Haymon has never been the lead promoter of a fight. And the rest is speculation because neither of us know what a Haymon contract looks like.

But Haymon is a Harvard law graduate and probably has a group of other Harvard Law graduates drafting his contracts and reviewing his business model.

That's not the issue. It's whether he is acting as manager and promoter, which is against the ali act principles.
