I was impressed by the hotness of his wife. She was definitely impressive.
Am I the only one who was impressed with Chavez Jr.

Chavez was landing his best shots both to the body and head of Fonfara and Fonfara wasn't bother a bit. He already did land his best shots and he was fading too. Quit and live to fight another day.Comment

specially being inactive and going up and fighting one of the top dogs of that very good division can't say the same for the other mw's i get what your saying man but he had no business being in there with fonfaraI think it's impressive the way he went about fighting somebody bigger, stronger and better. I think it was impressive that he brought a knife to a gun fight and fought like that for 9 rounds. I think Chavez won a couple of rounds and while he was getting beat bad, the rounds Fonfara won were competitive and he himself got tagged a good amount.Comment

i lol'd when i saw the knockdown and thot he deserved it for all the smaller guys he beat.
i haven't really harped on this fight too much though, given the fact that a much smaller Martinez already destroyed this guy.
usually the ppl that rehash fights tend to have issue with that other persons skin color/nationality.Comment

Chavez Jr is not dedicated to the sport and it showed last night. If that's impressive, oh well...Comment

First off he fought Fonfara who is a top 5 lightheavyweight and he fought him at his weight (well, more or less).
The fight starts off and Chavez realizes how badly outmatched he was from long range. He just didn't want to be there. He didn't think Fonfara was all that. In the first two rounds, he just wanted to quit, that was too much for him.
Then he's like, screw it, I am going after this guy and I am going to try to break him on the inside. He took a beating for 9 rounds but he was also landing good shots on Fonfara, but he tried so hard and for so long considering the amount of punishment he took.
In the end of it all, he was badly outmatched and he tried his hardest going into the lion's den and got beaten up, and it was a good thing he quit, as he was going to get beat up a lot worse in the next 3 rounds provided he was still standing.
I was really impressed with his determination and his courage as his technique is absolutely atrocious, his boxing IQ is below average but that guy fought hard. He isn't a Provodnikov or a Margarito but he's tough.
I think everyone hates him for turning down GGG but GGG can maybe learn smth from Chavez and fight somebody as good as Fonfara.
I am pretty sure you are the only one. Nothing impressive there. Too lazy to get at his proper weight. Quit on his stool. Lied about quitting. Delusional about winning. Didn't win one round. I don't even think he won one minute of one round. Asking for a rematch at 170 is a joke. Chavez has stolen Broner and Kahn's claim as most hated boxer out there.Comment
