  • I can't imagine the four sanctioning bodies being okay with this.

What if this is Haymon's plot to make the sanctioning bodies unite?

True, but after a few years that will change... let the titles get established, and let the current crop of fighters retire and the next generation will only know PBC

or how UFC did in MMA..

It will take some years, but eventually they will have ran off all the other promotions and fighters will flock to them..

Mcmahon and dana white knew that once you start co-promoting your only hurting your own brand as people will never look at you as THE TITLE..

By the 2020s Haymon and PBC will be recognized as THE TITLE, much like how UFC and WWE are considered THE TITLE
The thing is that boxing is not only restricted to the US. Boxing is international, it is worldwide. At best, Haymon will become an American organization with primarily American fighters while the rest of the world will continue as it is now. US boxing will become like baseball, claiming to have a world title while excluding everyone in the rest of the world. Americans will be fine with that, they like pretending the world revolves around them.

Is your skull 10 inches thick or something? It is simple common sense. I do not care if the contract is as an advisor or a manager or a supplier of transsexual hookers. If he is actively employed by a fighter in any capacity, he cannot also be in charge of the entity they fight for. He cannot look out for the best interests of his clients if that is in opposition to his own best interests as the owner or 'commissioner' of the PBC.

It's not so difficult to understand.
I get your point which I called speculation.

Oh wait that cant be it! It must be no one wants to be part of this. So in yhat case im even happier PBC is here cause if no one wanted to be part that boxing is worse that i thought.

Never critcized Al. I always knew plan was there.

Keep thinking negative and hate sport and ill do opposite
The article below is a good read. See Item 2 of the 10 count about the advertising. I saw the fights and noticed little actual advertising, but did see repetitious spots on fighters plugging themselves. If advertisers were willing to pony up for slots on Haymon's show, do you really think Haymon would have said, "Thanks, but no thanks. I want Quillin, Garcia, Figueroa and Wilder to occupy a 2 hour show's advert slots over and over and over again, for exposure."?

Right now, I see similarities of the Haymon we all know and despise. You can keep making excuses for uncle Al. Your check is in the mail. Oh wait, no it isn't.

He'll still need promoters or he will be in violation of the Ali Act.

If Al Haymon has his way he will make those promotional companies go bankcrupt. That is why Bob and Oscar are back to being friends they know they will need each other. If Haymon decides to invest and sign big Puerto Rican and Mexican prospects you can say good bye to Top Rank and Golden Boy. Those are the back bones of those two.

He doesnt want them to unite. He wants to wipe them out and have only 1 belt per division like the UFC.

It was kind of an odd time slot, so they probably were not getting very good offers. They might have felt more value in pumping up their other fights rather that selling cheap commercials. Now that they know the ratings, they might get a fair offer (or come down a bit depending on what the issue was).

WWE is international, so is UFC..... PBC can to...

None of this will happen overnight... many steps to this process

                      1. sign fighters
                      2. get timeslots
                      3. get your own belts
                      4. build PBC brand and secure TV deals
                      5. Look to go international,, first in canada and mexico, then UK, etc..

This will take years to accomplish but its feasible..
