we won't have a true champ for awhile, but eventually probably 2020, we will have one...
UFC and pride went back and forth, same thing with WWE and WCW...

This will take 3-10 years to fully develop this system
    Pride was a Japanese promotion.

The UFC had about a decade headstart on Pride in the US, as Pride didn't even have an event in the US until 2006.

PBC will build there brand awareness, just like UFC, WWE, Apple, Pepsi, etc

Its gonna take time, but you gotta start somewhere.. Haymon is only about 10% of the way there...
WWE is NOT A SPORT!! It is entertainment only.

UFC in the big sports picture is the size of a flea on an elephant.

Haymon is not even 10% of 1% of the way to conquering the world of boxing.

WWE and UFC are nowhere near as popular internationally as are other organizations. Do you think Japan does not have their own versions of those sports? As do many other countries? Americans have tunnel vision and blinders on. They see little that happens in the rest of the world as having any importance to them. The rest of the world does not play American football. We don't even play the same game up here in Canada. Baseball is not a major sport outside the US. Soccer, as Americans call real football, dwarfs all US sports in terms of popularity while in the US it is a fringe sport.

Can PBC succeed? Yes. Can it replace existing sanctioning bodies and take over boxing in the world as a whole? Not a chance in hell.
        LMAO

you must not have a very good understanding of WWE and UFC international business..

These guys sellout huge arenas and stadiums anytime they go international..

Sure japan has some MMA organizations, but no one considers them to be legit world titles....
Pro wrestling has ROH, TNA, IWGP, etc but all of those combined don't have the prestige of the WWE...

Yes the future of Top rank lies on Felix Verdejo of Puerto Rico and the future of GBP on Canelo of Mexico. Arum wants to go european but that wont work here in the USA.

Why not? Golovkin and Kovalev have become loved by the US fans. Are they not from Europe?

The point is it's a lot easier to compete against an entity that most of your audience (the american public) doesn't see.

And the NFL sells out Wembley during their exhibition games. Big deal.

Like most Americans, you think your sports and organizations are the best in the world. Anyone using the word PRESTIGE in concert with WWE really is not worth getting into a discussion with. Like SERIOUSLY??? Prestige and WWE?

Butthurt runs deep in this post...

Similarites between Mcmahon destroying the Territory system and NWA, AWA, etc
and Haymon looking to take out WBA, IBF, WBC are damn near identical...
I don't think you really understand the business concepts involved.

LMAO at haymon being one-tenth of a percent...

The guy has 200 of the top fighters and prospects, already has established his brand (you know what PBC is don't you, Brand awareness) and already has tv timeslots....

They still not the big draws and its hard for them to reach mainstream the way a Mexican or a Rican can based of their nationality. I still never seen a european fighter become a big time A side here in the USA.
