After reading on *********.com what WBA welterweight champion Luis Collazo's management was asking for in purse money for defending against Ricky Hatton, Emanuel Augustus contacted *********.com to let Ricky Hatton know that he will take the fight for $50,000.....or $950,000 less than the Colazzo camp wants. "Fifty grand and I will give you the fight the fans voted to see on *********," said Augustus. "Not one million but fifty-thousand....and I will give you a rematch after I beat you. Of course, I will ask more in the rematch but I won't be ridiculous but, of course, I will beat you again and that being said it will be even worse than in the first one."

I would love to see this fight happen.Augustus can box if he takes the fight seriously and does not act like a ****ing clown........Although Hatton appears a bit too relentless for him IMO.

That has nothing to do with the point I was making.

I'm not debating the merits of Emmanuel Augustus as a boxer, I've never seen him box, so it would be ****** of me to start slating him.

But he does have a big 26 in the loss column, and to non-boxing addicts that means he's a bum. If he is a genuine threat to Hatton (I respect Scaps opinion and as a result very much doubt he is) then why would Hatton fight him. No reward, significant risk. I don't know of any fighters that take risks without a potential pay-off.

trust me if you guys want to see a good boxer in action, collazo wont dissapoint you. i'm a little biased cause i'm from nyc also, but he's exciting.
if you guys could u should try to get a copy of the collazo vs jose antonio rivera fight, that was good.
collazo throws a lot of combinations, and if hatton cuts easily it might be trouble.

I have no idea who this Augustus chap is. But to claim he has been robbed in 80% of his losses, is well, one hell of a statement to make. Period.
