Augustus: I'll fight Hatton for 50k!

Agree with you 100% Bozo, but the opinions of many outside of North America are based on a fighters record, Augustus does not have a great record on paper and has lost to good fighters but has also lost to poor fighters.
He's lost 26 fights, I know as a boxing fan that sometimes that does not tell the whole tale but many of the paying public will not see it that way!

If the paying public is as in the dark as some of the people here, you may be right, but the bottom line is that just because you don't know alot about Hatton doesn't mean the people in North America don't, which is where Hatton's fighting and aiming to get more popular.

This would be a great fight to watch, and better than any that have been suggested for Hatton's may fight.

Leave it two a handfull of Brits who are looking at Augustus' record on paper to poo poo the idea.

Id hate to see Augustus take the fight and just get blown out of there by Hatton,and have that be all that materializes from hattons big US debut.But maybe I am selling him short,hes much younger than I would have thought from seeing him fight,I dont know, to me he looks kind of worn.

Id rather see Hatton fight Harris out of all the names Ive seen mentioned(believe it or not).

I wrote an accurate post on Augustus and you're the one who is doing all the "hating". Why? Because you're someone who really knows the square root of **** all about Boxing (or anything else apart from silk sheets).

The bottom line is that Augustus would bring more viewers than any other fight Hatton's camp has been looking at, and would be a very exciting fight that he'd thrill the people seeing him for the 1st time in. That was supposed to be the goal in him taking fights in the US. What acclaim does Collazo or Naoufel Ben Rabah bring to the table? Because they have better resumes on paper, they're the better options? Please.

It may well attract viewres, but lets be honest: Augustus doesn't deserve a shot at the Champion. At least Collazo brings something to the table. Augustus just brings his years of underachieving and wasted talent.

Collazo has the right ingredients for a fight with Hatton. Augustus doesn't bring any such ingredients to the table, though he'd probably make for a better looking fight than Collazo would.
