I'm pretty sure 2 million is Ward's price tag. It was at one point, that's why he didn't fight Pavlik back in 2013, HBO wouldn't pay him that much for that fight. I can't say for sure that it still is.

Ward has a crazy ego but he hasn't fought in 3 years and was a terrible draw when he was active. Keeps pricing himself out of his prime years.

But you are using FACTS. These idiots are not interested in the facts. Only their delusions matter, only the point of view that they have convinced themselves is the actual truth.

I'm still waiting for someone to claim that Ward is the real lineal LHW champion because he defeated Dawson when he held that title, before Dawson lost to Stevenson. Doesn't matter that it was at 168 and Dawson's LHW title was not at stake, Ward still beat him.

That was his minimum with Goossen. It was rumored higher with ROC which would make sense with his unhappiness with his previous contract

You're wrong. He didn't fight Pavlik because he tore his shoulder. Thank god that fight didn't happen. Poor Pavlik.

Good, Ward shouldn't get paid 2 million to fight GGG much less this no-hoper.

Is Ward a first ballot HOFer if in 2-3 years time he has Golovkin and Kovalev on his resume in addition to Kessler and Froch?

My bad. I know he had a lot of trouble getting an opponent approved around that time because of the money he was guaranteed. I thought Pavlik was one of the rejected opponents.

In boxing you have to strike while the iron is hot. After the S6 Ward should have immediately got his shoulder surgery then stay active. He's lost all of that momentum and it sunk his value. He's basically starting from scratch at this point.

Why does every thread with any bit of Ward news end up at 20+ pages?
