If Team Golovkin picked up a phone and called Haymon or DeCubas Jr. the GGG vs. Lara fight would get done.

And I don't want to hear about Lara's style and how HBO wouldn't approve because the people that consider Lara boring would consider Willie Monroe twice as boring.

Willie Monroe has no championship experience, has never been scheduled to fight 12 rounds, his best win is Brian Vera and most importantly, he is a prospect.

As far as Monroe, a boxer with his style needs a lot of time and the right fights to hone his skills, and unlike Tureano he has room for improvement in my opinion.
      Agreed......

Golovkin is a victim of his own success and work rate, he's too good and too powerful and by the time he turns around and is looking for his next fight everyone else is weeks deep into their own training camps so C listers are the best he can get short notice. Its balls but I understand it, hopefully a big fight comes soon.
He still fights at least 2 quality fights a year, same as the other big names. Difference is he also has 2 bleh fights a year alongside them and his quality fights at middleweight aren't against guys who can beat him. He's not alone in that, but it is still frustrating for those who want to see what Golovkin really has.

This is one of his bleh fights. You wait it out and see what the next quality fight will be.

Lara is a super welter though. I agree still though, GGG-Lara would've been a better fight but what really is GGG gaining beating a literal 154 lb fighter?

I think everyone in this thread knows who Monroe is, they are just showing disdain for a lack of a Golovkin mega fight.

I'd say Monroe has a much better chance against Golovkin than Salka did against Garcia. Monroe belongs in the mid to high echelons, Salka had absolutely no right being in there with Garcia. It was actually pretty sickening.

I get that you're sticking up for your team, but when your blind loyalty makes you post ludicrous statements like this, i'd say it would be time to change tack.

I'm a Monroe fan, but GGG's fraud azz is always fighting Friday Night Fights fighters or guys on that level, you know what just put GGG in a Boxcino Tournament too, this guy is a damn joke

That's because they don't rank belt holders from other organizations. 10 middleweights better than Willie Monroe:

                GGG
                Cotto
                Murray
                Geale
                Quillin
                Lee
                Saunders
                Jacobs
                N'Dam
                Lemieux

There is no way you can justify Monroe being in the top 10 right now by beating Brian Vera.

I am glad you're Haymon's personal secretary to know the details.

Seriously man, what makes you think Lara even wants to step into the ring with GGG after he literally ran from Canelo during his one chance at stardom?
