I would actually like to see Lara vs GGG. But how do we know he wants the fight?
Lara calls out everyone on twitter, chased Canelo, then didn't show up to fight. It's one thing to call out people and it's another to actually agree to a fight.
It goes the other way too: Haymon can always call GGG if he really wants Lara to fight him.
I just don't believe any of the public call outs. For example, Broner has been calling out everyone and fights bums. They're for show.
We won't know unless they try. Monroe called out GGG and they obviously called him back. Haymon has nothing to gain from Lara. He can fight whoever he wants.
But if you compare the chances against each other...
Salka had a higher ceiling to climb than monroe... who is fighting hin his own weight division...
example.... its like monroe moving up to fight kovalev.
There is a clear, distinct difference in circumstances for each mismatch fight. In each fight, both opponents have no chance to win.
There is huge difference in where they are ranked in the division and where they came form before the fight. That said, there is no difference between 0% and 0%.
Maybe this might be a blessing in disguise. Not comparing the two obviously, but if GGG handles a tricky southpaw relatively easily, then maaybe, HBO will give the green light for GGG/Lara. Whatever negativity they feel towards Lara might be alleviated when they see that Golovkin will offset any negative aspects of Lara's fighting.

I don't think people are faking knowledge of Monroe. I don't think so but we can agree to disagree on chances to win. Again, completely agree with your point about Salka.
I hope you are not so ****** as to ride with el blanco and dirk on that silliness. If you actually believe it, so be it.
It's earlier than I wanted for Monroe, but that's more for purposes of his name and not his abilities. He'll give Golovkin his first real test against a slick southpaw since Ian Gardner.
Willie's uncle upset Marvin Hagler back in the day, I'm sure he'll be aiming to repeat with a similar style.
And I'm not praising Lara in this instance but he's openly stated that he wants the fight, he has championship experience and he's one of the 3 best fighters in his division. Willie Monroe is a prospect who just finished Boxcino.
But over the next several months he will be hyped in to this slick, tricky, master boxer southpaw.
