why cant GGG move up and dare to be great?

Cotto's promoter, at the time, said Canelo agreed to all of Cotto's demands. Cotto still wasn't interested.

You can spin that whatever way you like, I like both fighters, probably Cotto more but it's clear to me who wasn't interested in the fight. He turned it down for the second time inside a year.



Top Rank negotiated a Canelo fight, they offered and were willing to do that fight. They offered him K-9 too.

People talk about venue and date, they're making excuses for Cotto because Cotto never mentioned this being a problem. The only thing that was apparently a problem was Canelo talking to Mexican newspapers disrespecting Cotto.

Cotto and his people have diva syndrome. If he is not fighting GGG or Canelo Top Rank shouldn't want him anyway. At his age he should be making legit fights... Has anyone even thought about the possibility of cotto promotions working with roc nation sports? As in, some fighters from cotto promotions in pr get to fight in nyc and vice versa.

Yeah, I'm sure it's going to be something like that. Obviously Roc Nation is still working on building a stable, and even though it's not much, Cotto Promotions are a stable of fighters so it's something to work with. I'm sure there will be some kind of business deal, a consistent working relationship between the two, if not entirely tied together. This deal for Cotto is probably just as much about his company as it is about the remaining time left in his boxing career as a fighter.

Yeah, I agree with this. As long as the fight can still be made, and Roc nation is willing to work with other promoters,I don't see what the big deal is.
