That's just it; in order to erase the shame of his duck(s), a fighter has to take on some notable opposition. Again, look at Stevenson. He's passed on some potentially great fights, and has instead fought lesser fights & even got dropped by Fonfarej. For him, the notable opposition he needs for redemption are the very guys he's ducked: Kovalev, Hopkins & Pascal.

There are also instances where when a fighter loses in an all out war but goes out on his shield, it boosts his stock. Ward losing to Gatti and vice versa didn't lessen either fighters stock. Molina giving Lucas hell in an all out war didn't lessen his stock and is now facing broner. Canelo lost to Floyd and is still a high demand fighter. Pac got KTFO and is about to compete in the biggest boxing event of all time!

On the contrary, had Floyd retired without facing Pac he would have forever been branded a ducker.

You should've added a 3rd and 4th option to your agenda trolling poll... The 3rd option would be ducking/declining/disregarding full random Olympic Style Drug Testing like Hopkins or Manny in 2009(you remember the real reason the Mayweather fight didn't happen in 2009). 4th option should be if a fighter admitted to taking PED's or failed a drug test for PED's.

He still gets talked about and he's getting another title shot. I'm the biggest critic of Quillin on this site and agree that he should be fighting GGG yesterday.

But I'm not delusional. He's ducking because he can't win and will get good money and more title shots by avoiding him. If he gets KO'd he will struggle to get back to the position he is in right now.

What if Adrien Broner ducked Maidana and went back to lightweight? He would still have a trillion threads about him and people would still be calling him the next Floyd.

Quillen was yet unproven when he vacated. His actions have severely damaged his stock. His fighting for the title he just vacated, looks like some shady **** that he and Haymon are pulling.

If Broner had ducked Maidana, it would have been of little consequence because at the time, many believed Maidana was no match for him. If Broner had ducked Maidana after his two fights against Mayweather(and Broner was still undefeated), the impact would have been greater.
