You should've added a 3rd and 4th option to your agenda trolling poll... The 3rd option would be ducking/declining/disregarding full random Olympic Style Drug Testing like Hopkins or Manny in 2009(you remember the real reason the Mayweather fight didn't happen in 2009). 4th option should be if a fighter admitted to taking PED's or failed a drug test for PED's.

What hurts a fighter's stock more a Loss or Ducking?

A loss. A loss is real and undeniable unless it's a bad decision. Everybody gets accused of ducking even when they duck nobody. His haters call GGG triple duck even though he is the last guy in the world to duck a worthy challenger. Some Mayweather fans said Pacquiao ducked Mayweather and the same thing in reverse for some Pacquiao fans but now they are fighting so neither was ducking. It was just two superstars who couldn't come to terms.

May I ask how in the world this makes any sense to the thread in question?

A loss easily. A loss is there forever. In 20 years hardly anyone remembers so and so ducked so and so for years (as long as they ended up fighting in the end). That loss is there forever. Things like robberies and ducking fade with time, those Ls are in the record

The answer is clear
What holds more honour, going home busted up but being able to tell your parents you stood up to the guy, or going home fine and having to admit it is because you ran away...?
It isn't hard to work out when you put it in this way. A fighter that faces a another fighter and loses holds more respect than a fighter that avoids another, it is simply not hard to figure out in my opinion.
Another way to look at it...Is Ali's legacy affected by his loss to Frazier more than it would have been if he avoided him outright?

They both suck, but a duck is worse to me than a loss. At least with a loss, a fighter can say that he tried, but the other guy was just better that night. With a duck though, the fighter is subject to all kinds of speculation and just looks like a coward. If you're a fighter, you fight, knowing you can win or lose. If you're a ducker, why the hell are you in the fight game?

Clearly a loss.
If you get accused of ducking(usually wrongfully), you stay in the headlines. Losing? You get destroyed and then ignored by fans, your numbers/viewership go down.
But...it does't matter. In boxing, you can't please everybody, so anything you do will get criticized by fans/media, any route you take is bad. So the best anawer is just entering boxing will hurt a boxer more.
