True or false: once Floyd loses nobody will want to watch him anymore?

False, it depends how he loses, if he does lose a fight. If it's by getting KO like Jones Jr did against Tarver. Then people would want to see his next fight to see if he's damage goods, which for Roy it was, but not for Paquiao.
If Mayweather loses a fight by decision I think people would watch unless he looks old over night and lost all the rounds which I doubt that happens.Comment

You are wrong people are sick of his ******ed antics. His constant humiliation of the black community, adding more stereotypes about blacks. Guy is an idiot and people want to see this b!tch who calls himself money get destroyed, but at the end of the day floyd is destroying himself anyway so it doesn't matter if he wins or lose guy is staying brokeThe only way for Floyd Maywather Jr to get a NON BIAS/HATRED opinion from the fans and media is IF he loses. Plain and simple. MOST people are just sick and tired of seeing Floyd win every single damn time. It's been going on since 1996 and people had have enough. It's not easy to relate to a guy that wins so damn much. It happened to Roy Jones Jr back in the day, people used to sht on him for winning too much. It all changed when Roy took his first L. Jim Lampley even said it on an HBO broadcast...people started liking Roy more after seeing him lose for the first time.
Maybe you don't want to accept it but your most DARK TWISTED FANTASY is to see Floyd coming up as the UNDERDOG for the first time ever in a fight.Comment

If Mayweather loses, for the exception of his own fans, there's no question his popularity among casuals fans will significantly drop as was the case with Manny Pacquiao when he lost by KO to Juan Manuel Marquez. It's a given.
Once he lost to Marquez, Pac experienced a major decline in support among the casual fan, which is evidenced by his currently fighting more at the Venetian in Macau as opposed to fighting less at the MGM in Las Vegas due to his fallen stock here in the states.Comment

Just go ahead and say it: people want to see him "humbled", they want to see him get his ass kicked from pillar to post.
something tells me a close decision loss isn't going to satisfy their thirst - and i actually think these sorts of people would come to his defense if there was a sense that he was "robbed" ...because they want to see him lose in a "legit" way. And that means out cold
So apart from that or a Broner-Maidana undressing, even with a loss, if he handles himself right afterward, then he could even win fans. People will be happy to see him lose regardless even if he's robbed but after a while I think it different opinions would form. Especially if it's a classic we're hoping forLast edited by LA_2_Vegas; 02-14-2015, 08:46 PM.Comment

False. People might want to see how he bounces back. Is he truly a great like Pacquiao is, bouncing back strong after being KO'd by steroid-aided Marquez? If he gives his heart in a losing effort people might like him better.Comment
