^^^This. Like Arturo Gatti Canelo will never be great but he brings in good ratings (when he's not fighting ppv) and he puts butts in seats. He'll probably have just as many, if not more, HBO appearances as Gatti had when it's all said and done.

He's popular but that's about it. He's just not that eventful as a fighter. Even in his biggest wins he leaves me with more questions than answers. I don't see him as the next best anything. Maybe you can call him the best of the rest and that's a stretch in my opinion.

If Canelo ain't the real deal then who the **** is? Some guy they call "God" that gets dropped by bums overseas? Sounds legit.

            Hell no.

Canelo doesn't have that dog like work ethic and gas tank.

He gave a pitiful performance against Mayweather with a ludicrous game plan. He has terrible conditioning.

I don't think he really trains that hard either, I remember the build up to the Floyd Canelo fight and watching the live streams of their training sessions, Mayweather was working like a horse being whipped, Canelo was very low key and wasn't really working that hard. Doesn't strike me as the guy who would go the extra mile and spar 15 rounds or 10 minute rounds.

He needs better trainers. They haven't been able to bring out the best in him. His gameplans against Mayweather and Lara were putrid. He needs to work with Nacho and learn under the great JMM.

              f loyalty.

Defintely a good fighter. Good resume for his age.

Don't know about the next star.

Has a lot of flaws. I think at 160 he would struggle.

Nah. If Canelo were the real deal, he would have come after Floyd the way Duran went after Sugar Ray Leonard. He would have come to win for real, with vengeance. Kill.

He's okay. Not the next Floyd though.
